Furlough has been a real asset if your employment was or would have been instantly affected by the onset of this virus.
However the terms were quite generous and many companies who were struggling anyway, took advantage.
It will be payback time soon and the furloughed will forget the long hot summer of 2020.
The MSM really seem to love announcing the rise in unemployment as if its an exclusive. What they don't do is make comparisons with our neighbors, just Germany maybe, wonder why.

We know furlough is delaying the inevitable but for the genuine companies and employers it's a good policy. Trouble is, it's supporting all the no-hopers along the way, and everyone will pay for it somehow.
This is the deepest recession we've ever experienced if people don't expect a rising unemployment rate they are obviously not very astute and in denial.

Well something has changed on here compared to a few years ago.
It was rare to see posts removed and the abuse and language was something else. Now they do automatically restrict certain words, like the health secretary's name.
Back then I believe that someone had to report a post to get it removed, now I'm not so sure. I think admin have kept a tight rein, especially on the lloyds BB.
While monitoring this BB, other BB's were probably more malicious and spiteful than lloyds ever was.
The debates/arguments over Brexit before and after the vote were particularly vitriolic on both sides. Some didn't like it and complained it was nothing to do with lloyds, but Brexit was and still is relevant. It was rare to see contributors banned, I just assumed that they had left.
Some peeps who still post on here have publicly stated in the past that they have reported posts (you know who you are).

The high volume of market data we're seeing and being sent is causing problems elsewhere on the website. Share Chat being turned off is to minimise the on-site issues for members and to keep live data running so people can still trade. The fix we're looking to implement is close to being finished, to prevent the website from having issues when we see a large increase in trade data. We can only give our apologies and say we're doing everything we can as quickly as we can to get it fully resolved.

Extremely annoying LEVIS, especially on a day like yesterday. My router was playing up (signal kept dropping out), didn't know if it was me or the sites. Didn't make any trades. :-(

Many thanks for your thorough response Suzy, that's all I wanted to know. It explains to me why the SP didn't move despite today's published agenda about the Government's handling of our application so far.
That meeting is probably over for BEM by now, I guess these minutes will be published somewhere / sometime.
