"Reasonable approach by the EU and US. Madness to rush this through. People need have faith in the process otherwise uptake will be low."
avocet.
Do you really believe that another month in the case of the EU (probably 2 months in the US) is going to make any difference to their findings?
All the long term benefits or disadvantages are unknown at this stage it's only just been developed, all that's known is that it works and is safe.
eg. It's not known at this stage how long it remains effective, could be that a yearly vaccination will be required.
One things for sure your beloved EU won't have that answer in just one month.
This early approval is just the start, the first example of how an independent sovereign nation can benefit from removing itself from a great monolith that is the EU.
Monolith - a large, impersonal political, corporate, or social structure regarded as indivisible and slow to change. Fits the EU perfectly, don't you think?
