Probably the best piece of legislation passed during these last 4 years was the decision to pass into UK law that we would be leaving deal or no deal on the 31st of December this year.
Without this, talk's would be grinding on and on and on.

With vaccines now being rolled out, I would guess that you would agree it makes for a safer environment, especially now with this new strain developing.
I would think an administered vaccine maybe a requirement. It would certainly be a requirement for myself if I was on a cruise.
As my post states, I was merely pointing out that, IMO, there is a conflict here with the passengers having a good degree of protection but the majority of the crew test or no test being still vulnerable.

Lots of talk on here today about the vaccines and given the age of Saga customers which I agree is advantageous over other cruise operators.
However nobody has mentioned the crew who normally are not UK based.
I don't think Saga 'cruisers' would be over the moon with half the crew in isolation.
It's all or nothing in my book and every company will be clamouring to get the vaccine for their staff, everyone will be a special case and not just cruise lines.
This could nullify Saga's customer age advantage to be first out of the port.
There's still gains to be made here before it takes off again, just keep a core holding in case you get left behind.

As has been reported we were the first country to identify it due to the expertise based here.
Currently it's not known where it originated, but you seem to know already.

The European parliament has set midnight on Sunday, central European time, as the deadline for agreement. MEPs have said they will not hold a vote of consent this year if a deal is not in place.

A deal could still be “provisionally applied” by the 27 EU member states, with parliament holding a vote in January, although the commission is loth to take that route.
