I agree with that statement Eric, it's clear to me the government will string this out until next year's election and beyond if necessary, depending on the result. Politicians want to be in government not the opposition, they may need the Greens next time around.
Regarding "something else will surely be used" well this what happens in the UK.
It's the last grasp of a government releasing control of their responsibilities.
Have an independent inquiry reporting their findings directly back to parliament, usually with a vague timeline.
Works every time, any questions from that moment is met with......, I couldn't possibly comment, as it's subject to an independent review, we will assess the findings when they make their report, good day.
The only people gaining from this delay is the board over at Vardar Minerals, who are slowly selling their company but without our support would be struggling, which is what BEM is slowly doing.
