UK debt.23 Mar 2021 22:06
Three weeks ago the national debt was c£2.1 trillion and is expected to rise in next year to c£2.5 trl.
However total liabilities rise to c£9.6 trillion, (about£143,000 per head, IMF figures) if you include other non provisions such as PFI, public sector pensions, old age pensions, nuclear decommissioning and probably many other obligations which are not accounted for.
One thing's for sure, no contributors on this BB will see the end of this debt, we'll have enough job servicing it.
What happens after we're all gone???
