I've never understood the concept of selling all of your holding in a share that you have presumably researched and fundamentally believe in and hasn't reached the value that made you invest in it in the first place.
I have several shares that I try and trade short term (not all of them but usually the higher Beta including SAGA), however with each of these I retain a core holding.
Keeps you interested and busy, just like to try and lower the averages whilst hedging in this case against something that may never happen.

Nobody likes to see investors losing money, but I fail to understand your rhetoric regarding lloyds bank especially with your holding.

Yes Falkland, looks sound, we're a conservative lot over here.

They (the FED) have previously stated that there will be no rise in interest rates until inflation rises to 2% and beyond even 2.5% coupled with so called full employment.
What's more they won't scale back QE until they are well on the way to achieving the above criteria.
What they don't say is, what they will implement if there is a total/major collapse. Presumably we all start again with more, a lot more of what we've got now.
What else is there?
It's all a bit beyond me if I'm honest, but I've still got a sh** load (for me) invested plus currently a good cash percentage wasting on the side or waiting on the side.
As usual there's always negatives but I believe there's still money to be made out there.

Every trade body, organisation, lobbying group etc are appealing to the government and specifically towards Rishi Sunak regarding his forthcoming budget to make their case for additional help.

The various schemes may have run their course but all have been open to abuse, by how much we'll never know.
The latest suggestions apart from the usual extensions to furlough, existing CBILS and the bounce back loans is to get the government to accept some sort of debt for equity. This says to me that a good proportion cannot/will not be able to repay the loans taken, even though repayments don't start until 2022.
This cannot be a practical solution, surely the last thing we need right now is for the government to take a position in all these private/public companies.

Of course this action of more state involvement would be music to the ears for some people of certain political persuasion (can't mention certain political structures here as big brother is watching).

At some point state support will have to be withdrawn.
People conveniently forget that it's not government money it's taxpayers money.

Just amused at your rants yesterday STrader. There've been a few valid replies to your recent contributions here but I haven't seen your response yet!
Could you enlighten the BB exactly what Starling bank offers customers that lloyds doesn't, it's far from "analogue," as you say?
I guess your outbursts make you feel better but it ain't gonna change anything, only you can do that.
Lloyds is only a part of my investments, not my "be all" as it appears to you.
If it's such a dismal investment for you maybe it's time to re-evaluate exactly what your objectives are concerning the Lloyds Banking Group.
Think about lloyds as an investment opportunity, (which there have been many), not as a place to have an account. I don't bank with lloyds but I'm happy to hold their shares atm.
