Have you never heard of security? The banks ask for it before lending money.
In the case of smaller companies it can be the owners dwelling. If you borrow money for a car it's the car etc etc.

Agree that it is time for a new government not so sure about a new mining and minerals policy though, there's enough b/s in the present one that nobody in authority can follow.Who's to say that if a new policy is implemented, BEM wouldn't have to start the permitting process all over again? But of course with the proviso that current cases will be fast tracked (just like we are now).Swedish b/s knows no bounds.

JS1, I may have misread your post but if they are all in a trading account atm, what's stopping you and your wife opening an ISA a/c each?
The quickest way is to sell them now (best not to wait for the admin or another provider) if you do it yourself, you're incharge.
You'll get £40k each if you act before the financial year ends, that £20k for this year and £20k for next year.

You can sort the wheat from the chaff very quickly on these BB's Gate, but I'm sure you know that. Some just keep posting the same message worded slightly different, others just pluck an SP out of the blue with no credence. Then you have the copy and paste poster which can be informative (and annoying) but with no input or views of their own, that takes a bit more thought.
LSE is a great site for gaining knowledge about particular shares but lloyds is not one of them and to be fair it's not that type of share.
I guess some posters just like the 'sound of their own voice.'

It's very reassuring being invested in lloyds.
Says something when at certain times the lloyds board is comprised mostly of very concerned NON lloyds investors and EX lloyds investors who seem to have lost their way.
Speaks volumes.

It must make a warm glow in every lloyds investors heart knowing that, not only, with a rising SP, slowly and surely increasing our wealth but also because we're all contributing towards the well-being of the nation.

Andrew Bailey needn't have any worries when apparently according to some, we (Lloyds) are paying housing for the feckless, financing new green initiatives, picking up government benefits, creating jobs, paying rents for the economically challenged etc etc…..

There's nothing going to blow this economy off course Theosus and it's
all fixed by using Lloyds funds and by default investors dividend monies, and no burden on the government.
Doesn't it make you all feel you're giving something back…. hence the warm glow.

That's always been the case, nothings changed, if you prove up a resource and it's financially viable it doesn't mean you will be able to exploit it. There are no guarantees from the outset.
IMO, if BEM were drilling Kallak right now it would put pressure on the government and further expose this process failure.
Don't forget the drilling program was for KS the concession is for KN.
