Well there's your answer, despite defying gravity for the last few months the SP has now gone sub 4p.
The old adage that the SP will return to the issue (fund raise) price seems to be coming to fruition.

September 11th is the date of the next election over there, who's gonna sell and use the money elsewhere, not many on here I guess.

RW, my wife has dual nationality with New Zealand and we're still waiting to get back for a visit.
And therein lies the problem, we can't go to New Zealand today.

In the scheme of things it would appear that New Zealand have indeed handled it well. However their problems now are, how to open up the economy and rejoin the real world. It could be that it is the likes of New Zealand and Australia that have the worst to come.
But you can't compare the economies of the antipodes with that of the UK and Europe.
On the other hand if you believe that we, the UK have messed up…..
With the population of Scotland not too dissimilar to that of New Zealand and with your leader seemingly incharge of the pandemic, perhaps you should be bemoaning the SDP and the way they have handled it.
It's too convenient when Scotland have messed up in your eyes, quoting the UK isn't it.

Now I see some are pushing for something of the same here, notably a certain Tony Blair. It would open up a certain discriminations between the "jabbed and the non jabbed," go and no-go areas is being suggested.
If that's the case, some on here might be restricted in their activities.

And then there's more talk about a type of national ID in the pipeline, perhaps something along the lines of the EU proposals.

As the article says Wids, gold when regarded as a store of value etc, which of course it always has had.
However I guess it's the value of anything that you own at that particular time when you want to sell it, swap or barter it, is what matters.
As most things in life the value or worth of anything fluctuates, usually according to its availability.

With lloyds drifting lower, just shows the merits AGAIN of taking the dividend in cash and reinvesting, if you want, on your own terms.

Now the dividend or non dividend has been 'put to bed' we're now getting one of Daft Traders favourites topics....... consolidation.

I came to the same conclusion years ago, on the plus side barring a major disaster you'll unlikely to be locked out.

Hbeen. You'll be extremely lucky if you hear anything with those "eyes and ears on full alert" and manage to sell before the price drops. Assuming of course that what you hear will affect the lloyds SP.
To my knowledge there hasn't been many instances where you can outmanoeuvre the market.
The Brexit referendum being one, as peep's had plenty of time to hedge their Investments before the result was known.
The consensus by some ATM is that a major correction is on the cards. History tells us they are right, but when? That is the question, as ever it's all about timing.

I've never considered lloyds to be a particular good share for short term trading in the past, and after a good run its now gradually reverting back to what it always has been, a low beta share.
With a trading range today between 49.53 and 50.19 so far it's getting harder, especially if you close your trades daily, but not impossible.
I believe lloyds is still in an uptrend but the higher it goes the lower the beta value.
Historically lloyds has lumbered on with long periods of virtual stagnation with short bursts to the next range, IMO you want something with a bit more volatility.
Just saying.

Learningtoinvest, so in principle it's ok to talk/mention other shares on this BB as long as they don't exceed your quota, whatever that is.
Just accept these chat boards are what they are and they are free to join.
BTW, in the past, I have on many occasions been alerted to potential investments on different BB's some of which have proved to be quite lucrative.

That's just equity prices.

All these recovery rate estimates are meaningless on their own but it keeps certain individuals and organisations employed I guess. It's just more headline grabbing.
Some perspective -
A 50% loss requires a 100% gain to recover that loss.

This lloyds BB has always had alternative discussions Foxhound, if it was restricted to the lloyds SP and dividend let's face it, it wouldn't be so compelling.
There are some who bemoan so-called non lloyds comments to the extent that many posts are reported, and yes it has got out of hand on many occasions but admin have reigned them in.
It's surprising how many of these 'non' lloyds comments have influence and are connected to this UK equity that is Lloyds Bank.
I agree about Brexit, but it's always a laugh reading some on here still harping on about it.

I believe most contributors on here are more ****ed off with the continual one liners of 50 60 70p etc. It means nothing but if we close over 50p I guess we'll probably have to get used to the new 60p by Friday.

My thoughts regarding the future dividends, if we get the go-ahead is that any announcements, at least long-term ones, will be withheld until Charlie takes over in August, but as Wids would say WTFDIK.

I've been taking some profits this morning (GLEN and MKS) but not from lloy.......yet, although its had s good run of late.
As they say, nothing is forever.

I took some profit just after opening but I don't believe my trade had any influence lol.
