well presumably you are not invested then and for the life of me i cannot understand why the obsession with partnership announcements at this stage.they will not get a partner /licensee etc until they get EMA or FDA approval so its pointless imo to focus on the absence of one at this time in order to try and cast doubt on prospects.just my opinion of course and yes i know that there are very rare examples of partnerships etc prior to approval but they are just that,very rare.

yes i think it quite likely the seminar now won't take place.i suppose some sort of video/virtual one could be arranged but to be honest i don't think it matters whether they hold it or nor.its really just a publicity exercise for the most part and the fact that they tre attempting to hold it is perhaps more significant that the actual holding as it suggests(no more than suggests though)some degree of confidence in the product and its progress.if any new information was going to be disseminated it would have had to be RNSd first which can still be done.obviously i hope they can hold it in some way but really not bothered if they don't.there are going to be massive cancellations of all sorts of things due to CV so we just have to wait it out.aimo

sorry themis but that doesn't really address my question. if that were all they have got then of course its game over, but it isn't and I'm not suggesting this is some sort of game changer etc,just posting it out of interest as she may be someone (i genuinely don't know) who may be of more interest to younger consumers than say emile sande etc

the only reason i have posted the Hamza link is that i suspect she may be an actual star. not sure as i have no knowledge of todays music (yes i really am that old),but i strongly suspect that this is what melody may have been lacking.if she's not I'm sure someone will tell me .anyway its at least another small step in getting the product in front of the consumer.

well i thought it fell off the cliff after the profit warning which took it down to 28p or so.it climbed up the cliff face a bit to 42p before the FSP.the genreal opinion at that time was that it would have continued to recover but the FSp impeded the naturally recovery in some way.just opinion of course but from what the company has said we can expect the results to be in line with guidance i believe so i agree with others that part of the latest fall is down to cv.hard to Imagine why LO would want to end up with 23% + of the company without being at least reasonably optomistic about future prospects and of course they will now be a major player in decisions as to future direction.

agree with that bunco.nothing is immune to the cv effect(except the odd share like novacyt ).at this level phd is imo offering excellent value.agree that its now not going to happen overnight but when things calm down s/p will start to pick up imo

presumably bignose in part a function of greater tech emphasis in us.i remember my former broker recommending buying into Arm here many years ago.. i didn'tof course but one of uks few successes think.incidentally i see we have not been getting prices on the regent website for a couple of days.hope its not a cost cutting step as i assume they have to pay for it.probably not .

impossible to say what if anything is going on. we won't hear anything from artemis as they went below the reporting threshold on the last one.we wouldn't hear from lombard unless they got another 0.82% (from memory) and as you say there will be many many pis outside the reporting level.however not hearing anything from any of the other large holders is perhaps a moderately encouraging sign.i imagine its all down to LO's plans whatever they are as they' re firmly in the driving seat now imo

agreed, but he'd probably fail at that as well.although this is an egregious example,i think its a result in part of having someone with the wrong background trying to act as ceo.at times he has seemed genuinely lost and out of his depth with some of the technical stuff.i know he's supposed to have experts etc to advise but i don't think his background has helped.mellon must take some of the blame of course.

that may well be true parisise and we may hear something in due course, but clearly this would be something that cannot, as you imply, be achieved overnight. also this is undoubtedly going to be a temporary disruption,albeit on a very large scale,so i do not expect them to be distracted from their long term plans.agree it could make them even more attractive.

agreed bignose.dont see how they can carry on like this but we have been saying that for a long time.i suppose what i really meant was that although we have been going in the opposite direction to the rest of world for a long time we now will (at best) track it down, as there is nothing to lift it up .no the position with gibsons salary is quite ludicrous.i imagine he cannot actually be being paid it all so probably racking up another large loan account!
