the RNS says quite specifically that he is a member of the FUM European KOL Advisory Panel.perhaps i am missing something but isn't that sufficient in itself?

i assumed he meant messiah, but perhaps not.

I'm beginning to think we are now looking at a potential turnaround situation rather than a hostile short term bid.i think the proposed changes to the corporate governance infrastructure hint at this .i imagine the proposal by lombard to acquire artemis's holding in the event of the FSP terminating may well have been telegraphed to the board and perhaps the changes were one of the considerations demanded by lombard to go through with it.just speculation of course but i think we may be in for a relatively long haul.lombard will now have very significant influence over the company's direction so let us hope they can take it in the right direction as before.

well bignose much as i appreciated pikeys kind remarks i was,to be frank,disappointed at his assessment of me as a nice guy.for years now i have been trying to gain a reputation as an absolute bastard,but obviously i have been as successful in that endeavour as i have been in my investment decisions re regent.oh well keep trying..

cureboy i welcome your comments and views thanks.yes pinch of salt certainly and theres nothing really of substance.i was also convinced a bid was coming although at a much lower figure so no bonus points for my powers of prediction either.apropos of your earlier post perhaps the market has been telling us all along to expect something in the 70p region as despite all the expectation hype and fairly positive comments from the board we never really got over 60p and then only for the briefest of periods.just musing as no idea what is going to happen but agree that its a growing market and they do seem to be moving in the right direction after a difficult period which is why i bought in in the first place.good luck anyway.

cureboy i assume you are the same cureboy as on ADVFN and if correct i wonder what you make of Peter 97s posts.it seems very odd to me that the ceo would comment in this way to one poster,although i have had the odd reply from ceos on other shares. nothing remotely price sensitive though.

bald eagle i agree that we should expect an update onTPR100 very soon.even if the focus of the seminar is med 3000 its hard to imagine the position on TPR wont come up.as they won't be able to update the seminar without having updated the market generally first i expect a formal announcement will be made in next 3 weeks.whilst i accept that on aim(and elsewhere)good news tends to be announced promptly and bad news less promptly,i also think that if definite bad news has been communicated to fum already they would have to announce it promptly.at the moment therefore i am remaining neutral on what the outcome will be.i entirely agree with your comments re rigorous data etc for MED and only hope that calling the seminar(which presumably they were not obliged to hold) indicates they feel they have such data.could be completely wrong of course.

cureboy more than happy to be corrected by anyone with more accurate figures.i just took their opening position from last july and guessed. apologies for being lazy. my intention of course was just to show that they wouldn't need a particularly high bid to break even and from what you say even a low bid could turn them a significant profit.

just playing around with some figures and assumptions, if we assume lombard had an average s/p for their pre-existing holding of 10.44% of say100p and acquired the additional 12.52% at 30p they now have ann average cost of just under 62p.no idea what their plan is and doubt if we will know until after results.

maxdba thanks very much for clarifying your position in such detail.it is now entirely clear and my apologies for getting hold of the wrong end of the carrot so to speak.what you suggest makes perfect sense.it will be very interesting to see if melody can capitalise on the current situation,although it can only be a matter of deep regret that the potential opportunity is being presented by such pernicious and for many truly tragic, events.

yes i did see that but as you say it was not particularly exact and more will be needed i expect before matters progress.if any more detailed explanation is to be given at the conference it would have to be RNSd beforehand i imagine.we shall see.

yes thats what i feel BE.i did note that the RNS referred specifically to Med3000 modes of action,which may or may not mean how it works,a question which i hope they can answer.in fact that was my main take from the RNS in that it might be suggesting they can now explain the mechanism.i may well be reading too much into it but i did think would i want to arrange a conference with medical experts etc to be asked"how does it work?"and have to reply "sorry no idea".they may of course just be content to say they are still investigating etc,but we shall see.

thanks bothwell.i suspect they might struggle with more than one! i suppose we could ask them how the exciting new opportunity in the CBD field is going! lol

the last information i had bothwell was that if regent responded to the EMAs questions by the 23rd january the procedure would restart and conclude on the 27th march either with approval or additional questions.is this what you are referring to? i haven't been able to find any fresh news on the ema/prac site but i suppose the date of the results could be timed to follow the outcome.i doubt if that is the case personally as regent aren't renowned for being forthcoming with information promptly but who knows.anyone want to take bets on further questions being asked?

thanks mel.i assume its import is that melody are not being promoted in any way,or less than previously,but even if that is the case I'm not concerned personally as i think there is a bigger picture here and remain very positive.incidentally on the subject of small trades today out of 103 trades 46 were below £30 and probably another 10 or so well below £100.i think on and anecdotal observation level that this is vastly more than on other shares.not suggesting its anything to worry about or even significant in any way but it is imo a little odd.my own optimistic interpretation is the melody is potentially a very popular share amongst small investors resulting in an unusually high demand on tree trade or similar.probably complete rubbish of course.

anyone notice how every post by ltu is immediately accompanied by one recommendation.the instant it is posted its there. clearly multiple accounts or concerted posts.just view what he posts through the acknowledged prism that he is shorting.he wants the s/p to tank.doesnt mean that everything he says should be disregarded .the point about TPR100 position is relevant but the suggestion that because we have not heard anything yet the company is concealing things etc is not justified.if fum were pursuing a path of deception i doubt that they would be hosting a presentation .can't imagine the topic TPR won't come up in some way so i expect we will have news before the 26th march.
