just one further thought on the brexit aspect .i do now recall that one company i was involved with which had eu authorisation established a subsidiary in eire and i believe transferred the licences/and or marketing rights to it, presumably to address any potential marketing/importation issues that might arise from exiting the eu/
.im a bit hazy on the details now so may not have got this absolutely right but it does suggest that there may be more than one way to skin this particular cat. not that hard to set up an irish subsidiary i imagine. just a thought.

bald eagle fair point about the possible impact of uk withdrawall from eu.i confess i had not looked at it from that perspective.too many unknown here to allow for any real assessment.as you say we may simply end up with the status quo for a while but if not we may end up with some sort of mutual recognition regime particularly bearing in mind the uk's very strong historical role in the EMA function.i do accept that this may b a scenario which does not recommend itself to either side so there may be difficulties.we will just have to wait and see.as you say its all about risk.as to reaching your bail out point i would expect confirmation of submission to trigger a small s/p increase ,nothing huge imo,but obviously we do not know what level the s/p will be at at that time.my guess would be that you will reach bailout at that time but just a guess.

bald eagle sorry but whilst i was happy to respond to reasonable questions re timescale etc comments like uk applications go to bottom of queue destroy any credibility so far as I'm concerned.just looking for a negative spin .as I've made clear it will take as long as it takes but it won't be days and it won't be years.if not comfortable with risk or prospects you have an obvious route to take.i will now leave it to others to form their own judgements.

although old news( 17th jan) it is interesting and in many ways encapsulates the extent of the frustration many are understandably expressng on this board.aeg presents is a major promoter of tours, festivals and events. it was referenced in at least one post on here yesterday and it is clear that melody have connections to so many major players in the music entertainment sector that the relatively low key performance (to date) by melody is frustrating and difficult to explain. for my part i am firmly of the school of thought that this is a case of more haste less speed. i feel confident that the base they have been building for the last 3 years or so is on the cusp of coming to fruition and that fairly shortly we will get news of a major development. obviously i have no more information than anyone else on here but its difficult to see the recent investors coming on board unless they were of the same opinion .just my view of course.other views are available.

https://www.emergobyul.com/resources/europe-medical-devices-regulation-mdr-ce-marking-regulatory-process bald eagle apropos of the time scale the best i can do is refer you to the attached summary.its looks as though we expect to submit the dossier for consideration as per step 6 by the end of july. caveats are first that i do not know whether and if so to what extent any of this is altered by the new medical device regs which are due to or perhaps already have come into effect at beginning of may. i expect they will not alter the basic procedure.second is that i have not downloaded the more detailed notes,just looked at the outline procedure.if any detailed guidance is given in the download i would be very interested buti do not want to sign up myself.what i have not been able to find is any regulations regarding the timescale for the notified body's assessment process, so i assume it takes as long as it takes and would depend on multiple factors. it could be very quick or very long depending on what is required. so my view is that it is perfectly possible for formal approval to be obtained by end of year but it could take longer.it doesn't look as though it is an inevitably long drawn out process once the technical file etc has been submitted so we could well have a decision by year end. no guarantees and if i have missed anything or have misunderstood i am more than happy to be corrected by anyone with more detailed or expert knowledge.

hello bald eagle.just to clarify i am not suggesting that EMA approval will in and of itself trigger anything (except a fairly significant increase in the s/p which i would regard as inevitable on approval although could be wrong as always). Any payments to FUM will of course depend entirely on what licensing deal or deals if any are negotiated. assuming at least one i would be very surprised if it did not involve some form of upfront payment as this would, imo, be usual. as to the amount well i agree it would depend on the respective bargaining power of the parties,the attractiveness of the product and of course the other terms of the licence.we can only speculate but imo a normal structure would be a modest upfront payment, milestone payments (which would probably take some time to realise ) and royalties probably on a tiered basis. whether this would be sufficient to get FUM through any FDA approval process would depend on what was required,but my point is that approval first in EMA would give then a fairly strong appeal as a financing prospect should further finance be required. just my opinion of course.

mel agree with all that except that i think there zero chance we will get any further information at the AGM as such.we may get positive sounding noises perhaps,nothing more.thats not to say of course that we wont get something by way of RNS before then, which is i suspect reasonably likely.i could be wrong of course.

5Orrell my apologies.i have reread your post and have clearly misunderstood it. rest assured i was certainly not trying to suggest that you had done anything improper and if it came across that way i very much regret it.i was just commenting on the fact that i felt it very unlikely that melody was doing anything to inflate its figures artificially. again my sincere apologies for my misunderstanding.
