mel5 very much my thoughts here also and what prompted my post a day or so ago about the interrelationship between the various interested parties.just speculation of course but has some cogency imo. what is an on premise Cloudera Hadoop cluster? no don't tell as i certainly won't understand it.

albert pode's observation that the agm is taking place a couple of months earlier than last year is to my mind very interesting.may mean nothing at all of course but we are all familiar with the standard aim tactic of leaving announcements etc till the last possible moment if there is a whiff of bad news. the agm is of course a formal affair and no price sensitive news will be given at it, but if things were not going well i would have expected it to be held over for as long as possible.just my opinion .

there is a significant degree of interconnectivity between the various interested parties here. davis capital has 10.68% here and 7.48% in wandisco. ross creek have 4.1% here and 4.16% in wan disco. global frontiers (dollens) has 4.64% here and 3.39% in wandisco.i hope this is accurate as although it looks current, on one site for ross creek it gives their number of exits as 1 and the details as wandisco, so not completely sure of up to date position there.

yes thought the patent queries,although interesting,were a complete non issue.very important that they get the patent in due course but no doubt they will. they have very many patents already successfully obtained.

doubt its anything to do with the perception of the fundamentals here.more likely impatience and the attraction of other opportunities elsewhere in the context that there is not likely to be any significant news now for perhaps 3 months or so.just my opinion

not remotely significant I'm sure but the last non ams sale was at 0.81.it kept s/p at a 2% plus gain as opposed to the 5% or so loss it was showing for the last hour or so. only 10000 shares so minuscule but non ams trades have almost always been at less than the quoted price (sometimes significantly so,at least in my purely anecdotal observation). someone trying to keep s/p up? probably nothing of the sort just musing.

well i cannot explain that. seems to me they should have been included but I'm really not clear as to the technicalities. there are some quite complicated provisions regarding institutional investors whose fund manager's decision making is in effect ring fenced or chinese walled in relation to the funds conduct. I'm not sure they apply in this context or how exactly they operate so may be completely irrelevant here, but just mentioning them as a possible reason for the apparent anomaly.cannot see how lombard would be excluded at one point and included now so really rather confused.anyway something does seem is afoot so time will tell.

sorry I'm not sure my last post made this clear but i think you have to include lombard in the not in public ownership calculation just because they have 10% plus. motivation or agenda is unknown and not relevant. they simply have to have 10% or more.

bunco i think that is exactly the reason.its quite difficult to get a reliable grasp on the relevant regulations but i think we now have to look at substantial shareholders with 10% or more as well as the directors holdings.my calculation is lombard plus potts (ned) and the 5 directors shown on lse board as directors holdings.this gets us to 41.24 %.assuming there are some pension trustees for the directors (which i think there are although haven't tried to check) this would get us there.could be completely wrong of course and happy to be corrected by anyone with better knowledge or view.

Davis capital from what i can see (and i acknowledge its pretty perfunctory research on my part) do seem to be real players out there.becoming the largest shareholder is. imo.of massive significance.it may be small change to them but why bother if not at least reasonably confident of success.its not as though there aren't a lot of other companies out there particularly at this difficult time.absolutely no guarantee of successful outcome of course but mightily encouraging imo.
