agree stew.if we do get that sort of offer it would,i think,call very much into question the bod's conduct of the FSP and its outcome.in fairness we have no idea of the intricacies of the process and the competing and probably conflicting interests involved and no one saw the covid crisis until it was too late,but that said its hard to see how a successful FSP could have failed to deliver a better outcome than now,unless it was all smoke and mirrors, which i don't believe. anyway it's all history and if we do get lowballed now there will be absolutely nothing in practice we can do about it. personally if we got 40p i would be disappointed but still in a small profit so wouldn't complain too much but many will be very angry im sure.perfectly possible lombard could just be in for the ride long term but i think the size of their holding (which i accept is not huge in terms of value,but which is considerable in relation to proactis itself) would suggest otherwise. just my opinion of course.

so no RNSs yet regarding the sell/sellers from whom bombard got the additional shares.perhaps from several sources so no need to report, but does seem more likely they came from one major seller so perhaps we will get news on tuesday.regarding you reference Farhantahir to taking it private this does,i think,start to look like the most likely scenario,but no certainty and i am just speculating out loud.the question will then be at what level they would have to pitch the offer to be sure of getting the necessary level of support.hopefully we will know more in the near future

themis thanks for the detailed reply. appreciated. yes i realise it's not advertising melody as such(that would be news! )but if the logo is there it does suggest (no more than suggest) continuity of involvement imo.so a small piece of positive news.

i don't know the answer to your question dougie but my opinion (no more than that) has always been highly sceptical of the values claimed for the listing.i think it really only has a value in some sort of RTO situation (which strangely we may be in if a suitable candidate can be found although that may just be wishful thinking).what that value would be i really have no idea. if i had to guess i would go for something in the region of £10m but its only a wild uneducated guess.

bald eagle i certainly don't have a problem with sensible questions being asked and can recall a number of occasions where i wished id taken more note of them. i expect we can all say that.good luck.

agree with that frankmu.i really don't think the obtaining of a patent is going to be an issue.not underestimating the regulatory approval hurdles still to be crossed but feeling fairly optimistic in that connection also.

bald eagle just my opinion and i have no patent experience whatsoever so its probably worthless,but don't think they need to show how it works to obtain a patent.from what i have read they probably need to show that it does work (which they clearly can) but not the method of efficacy.the patent is for a formulation (a combination of 2 or more distinct substances in a particular way) not for the method of operation.if you didn't know how electricity works i suspect you would stll get a patent for a lawnmower. probably a poor analogy but best i could come up with.the position may be different for the ema/fda approvals but even then I'm not sure they would need to demonstrate the method as per parmzx"s post.also the fact that they are bowling on with the applications doesn't suggest to me that they are going into this with the mind set of "oh god we've no idea how this works but lets just hope no one asks us ". either they can explain it or they are confident that they won't have to in detail ,merely supply with acceptable evidence of the fact that it does work.just my opinion of course.

i think that has to be the case bunco.obviously it helps considerably with reducing their average which would perhaps be a reason in itself if the percentage were considerably lower, but at not much less than 30% it has,imo, got to indicate a bid plan.just my opinion of course.

well if so i hope he buys great many more.just on value i did wonder if the vague statement in the update about not going ahead with the yooya business because of concerns over valuation issues (my wording as haven't checked back for precise phrase) which was i suppose intended to convey concern over price of yooya wasn't just a clever way of hiding concerns over value of regent shares.ie they pulled it because regent shares just weren't worth it.
