RE: Next wave19 Nov 2020 11:12
well thats the question bignose.its why I'm particularly interested in how this development will change the dynamics at regent,if at all. we have gibsons rather grandiloquent vision statement "our long term vision is to transform rp into a global end -to end longevity and wellness biotechnology company dedicated to ....developing a longevity ecosystem". putting aside the fact that i have no idea what end to end means. it doesn't immediately suggest a tight focus on fortacin.if they are going to acquire more companies in the longevity sector (which i strongly expect them to do) how are they going to finance it? more shares issued probably, but suppose if fortacin could be sold off for a reasonable figure that would be a way.i don't actually think they will offload it as i doubt theres a potential buyer, but who knows.what i do find interesting is the question how will the DLI players fit into the picture. Zhavaronkov will be the second largest holder, ahead of jamie. ok a long way behind mellon, but perhaps someone of independent mind. interesting that there is some play made of the attempt to negotiate a better deal, but rebuffed by DLI.of course we don't know what really happened but if it was rebuffed it could indicate a strength of purpose which might be very welcome at regent. no suggestion as yet of board role for Zhavarankov but perhaps the will follow.just musing of course.
