I think the drop is just about the general market drop in reaction to tariffs also been going down for a few days from recent high and DEC has a high beta value. Back to old range again.

IMO results were fine it was the exchange rate that caused issues so should work it's way out and not good day with tariffs where traders are looking for any excuse to mark down. I added a few more at £45.29.

Good for me (at least I hope it will be), added more at £3.72, Trump tariffs will cause no more than a temporary market blip as can seen from all the Indexes especially US since start of tariffs, add in good results which will add to selling as buy on rumour sell on fact which will soon pass.

For me Trump tariff have been great, instead of complaining about them I decided to try to make money out of them and when we had the big market drop a few months ago because of the tariffs used all my available cash to buy/add to shares in good companies which I believed dropped far too much, so far working very well.

All I have used are facts which have been backed up as you have repeatedly tried so hard and failed to disprove.

The only sense it makes is that they did not get anywhere near current value or at least the current value they put on it so come up with this. Would be good to have some figures purchase price + money spent on property to calculate CGT, all after we have been told for a time that the property values decreased which lead to a reduced NAV.

Not insecure just very easy as a cut and paste as I have keep a lot of information available on shares I hold and trade in spreadsheets and websites, but just making the point I have posted useful information after you said

I personally find TREK and some other peoples post on other shares vert useful so another point in regards to your comment.

Disappointing results but does say

Is this just for me or everyone, I found TREKs recommendations very useful. Not ramping, never said buy but suggestions to look at.

In 1 year not taking into account dividends

CCJ up 70.92%

NXE up 3.00% (not great)

SMR up 394.23%

SRT up 162.30%

ENOG down 9.01% coved by dividends, but only said look at these when at when at a low because of conflict and Trump tariffs, I am well up on what I paid

A little more than that, I was the one who first worked out the BBs set first at $14.00, then $14.50 and then $14.35, not sure if this info was useful to other people but sure made me a decent amount of cash trading with this knowledge. Would you like me to stop posting the BB info, happy not to post it any more. Also gave you a lot of useful shares to look at, CCJ, NXE, SMR, SRT, ENOG all up a lot along with ITs and REITs being taken over or in winddown which are making me and TREK a lot of cash. JC01 gave you helix and probably some others.

By filtering JC01 you missed some very useful information on the Carlyle deal, when BBs were used to buy shares directly from companies that got these as part of the deals including the price issued and BB price and a other very useful information he dug up that nobody else found.

This is becoming just like it was for CPI under JL, I was the first to call him out, got loads of flake, told I was wrong, it will all be fine, insulted etc., in time it was clear I got this correct with more or less 100% agreement now and some apologies. Broomtree may recall this. You can always use the 3 wise monkeys investment strategy and shoot the messenger if it works for you, if so just filter us.

I am not happy as well, we are now in a situation where the NAV is missing tax liabilities so we do not know where we stand on the value of the company. I guess it must be correct but I am confused why there is CGT when this was bought the NAV was a lot higher and decreased due to fall in property values over the last few years. Would be good if ASLI tell us if there are any more like this and give a true valuation of the company, was thinking of adding but don't know where it stands now.

Where would you have got all the latest stuff on Carlyle deal but I guess you get your information from silly Youtube videos, now people can decide who are the best ones to filter.

That's because Rusty has not had any more acquisitions in the last 3 months, says it all.

If you want something hilarious take a look at the the three year graph Aug 2022 £28 now £11.50 so a small rise in 3 months is hardly significant and there is a very long way to go from here to put it back where it should/could be, in fact nowhere near recovered from the Maverick acquisition.

Always the way with DEC, just starts to get some momentum and either a new deal announced or sold into from the companies stuck with the shares from the last set of deals. Just perhaps this Carlyle deal will helps, certainly needs it.

I need an SP of around £19 to put DEC in the same position as my other investments over the same time frame so can't get excited about a few $s here or there, total disaster which was easily avoidable. Given the low dividend at this level and Trusty Rustys track record think it will be a very long time before any chance of that and by that time hopefully my other investments will have moved up so need even more. Accretive and Rusty are an oxymoron and should never be used in same document let alone sentence.

I never said the whole loan is for BBs and you know this, $300m really, must try harder, why not read what I say and not interpreting it to something it is not, Come on where are the maths that proves your case.

Looks that way, range is up a little now which may be due to the Carlyle deal and certainly BBs were soaking up a lot of the shares used as part of the deals.

Go on do the maths let's see how you make less BBs requires the same loan to have the same liquidity, can't wait to see this.

So you think DEC were not planning more BBs since they have had BBs for years now, a number of the companies that got shares as part of the deal were dumping them on the market, the SP was in the gutter and Rusty with egg all over his face after the last botched deal, REALLY, wake up and smell the coffee.

Either JIM is just too stubborn to admit he has got this wrong or he lacks basic maths, has no understanding of basic accounting or how companies finances work at even a simplistic level. It is simple the last loan was 9.75% and could have been smaller without the BBs, simple therefore the COF for the BBs is 9.75% given all income and outgoings were known to within a small margin. If he worked for an investment bank and came out with this type of financial stuff along with the shares have not lost even though SP down to half because not been sold I dread to think how long before he is shown the door in howls of laughter. Also any accounts prepared on this basis would fall foul IFRS so don't try accountancy companies or any other finance either.

A few months seem right to me they would do forward planning on cash and put in an agreement with the company doing the BBs, set a maximum amount allocated for BBs and make it available, how else do they do this? Wake up every morning check the bank balance and say today spend $xs.

Some facts please, not accounts but books, I can have many bank and building society accounts but the money is pooled when I need it. Are there separate books in the DEC accounts if so I have never seen them, maybe Well capping for external customers is handled separately but nothing else.

Read the RNS, it was a general purpose loan not as part of any deal, if it was for an external deal it would have been done the same time as the deal and most likely be an ABS.

Still not seen any maths where the loan needs to be the same size if no BBs, show me the maths, facts not just you opinion.
