So which one of these other world events occurred between the aqucitsions announced and the SP dropping, as I say do you believe this was just by chance 8 times in a row? Also please tell me why other O&G companies were not effected in anything like the same way as DEC, in fact their SPs in general are up, some facts please. Also add in most external events that have occurred during this period are positive for DEC, Trump, Wars, AROs, AI etc.

Let’s try again to show you how the BBs are connected with the loan, nothing to do with your mortgage and cars but makes sense if you to take out a larger mortgage if you need a new car soon after and don’t have enough free cash.

First all cash is pooled (a concept you struggle with) so the last unnecessary expenditure come from the last loan, not difficult to understand, as CF and expenditure know within a small margin (see below) in fact very easy to understand.

Second companies plan their cash requirements in advance based on income and expenditure (except DEC with last acquisition and look what that caused), in DEC’s case income is almost all from O&G sold, expenditure is running costs, tax and BBs. As most of the output is hedged income is known within a small margin, also as no drilling etc expenditure is known within a small margin and so is tax, For BBs DEC will set a maximum amount. Sum this up and it is the amount cash required, if negative a loan is required even if it just short term. Therefore Loan Size = Costs + Tax + BBs – Income SO WHICH PART do BBs not alter the size of the loan, as I said very very simple and based on simple arithmetic and accounting, remember the loan was taken out shortly before the current set of BBs started so this would have been factored in at that time. Try a little example for yourself it may make it easier to understand and if you can find away that do not link all of these together please let me know.

We all could and no doubt would have sold on the all time high if we had know this and you trading/investing hindsight is 100% but totally irrelevant to how we got here, seems like a tangent to me. Of course it was, it was the last loan taken out by DEC just before the current set of BBs started, for every $ spent on BBs the loan could have been reduced by that $, very very simple but you refuse to get it, so show me how without BBs the loan needed to be so large and don’t say the money comes from a different source, as I have explained all DEC cash is pooled.

After I made one comment on where cash was coming for the BBs you spent days and many posts bringing up old points trying to prove me wrong without facts, as you say just opinions, everything I replied to you were facts, basic arithmetic, basic accountancy etc.

I will try again using the most important fact, the SP was £22 in worse market conditions when this madness started, as said other O&G companies are up, where is DEC. Many millions of $s spent on BBs just recently so I would say It was holding up the SP a for a time but for the last week it has not needed any. Lets hop it is it is a good H1 that has leaked causing the SP rise.

The US share listing was before a number of aqucitsions, we are in a different world now.

Probably because the shares used are part of the deals were the US shares as you more or less said they would have preferred cash but DEC did not have.

I think the BBs are something that is stopping this, no point in dumping huge amount of shares on the market at one time just feed them in at a rate BBs can soak them up if SP falls.

As I said I think we are stuck in the $14.35 - $15 range for a time, lets hope the HI results are good enough to push SP up out of it, HH is not helping at present but should go up as we head for winter. Main thing are not more aquisrions and debt.

Thanks for the info on Malta, not on the top of my list so not done much research and not been there for a time but like it when I did. Other option I have is to stay some of the year in Dubai and buy some small apartments in perhaps Italy, Greece, Poland as my partner family are there and just stay in each for a number of months but not long enough to get taxed and Airbnb when not there. For Poland it will be Krakow where my partners friends and family are, the city is beautiful and full of character, low crime and all of the family and friends are great and doing very well with much nicer properties and higher life styles than there equivalents would have in the UK, if it was not for the cold winters and tax I would consider it.

From inflation side no but by trashing the economy BOE will have to, however Gilts will not fall or go up as no one wants the UK debt and only way to sell it is to force it on pension funds. Gilt yields higher than under Truss (though that was caused and admitted to by BOE) when global inflation a lot higher but where are the left wing press now screaming for a change of policy and chancellor.

Off Subject but I have been looking at this for a time, Dubai is probably my first palace to go to where I can sort out my tax affairs, pay salary out of my companies and close them. Then look to either relocate or spend a lot of time in Gibraltar but property very expensive, this gives me the low tax, good healthcare, low crime and 300+ days a year of sunshine. Also looked at Portugal NHR where property very cheap, Malta, Andorra are all very good, St Kitts and Nevis very good but cost about $100,000 as a one off and no more tax, also Cayman Islands and others around there very good. Singapore is also good and with good tax planning and Italy and Greece are attractive, will cost a lot at first but will go down after. I have been researching these myself and had advice from a very good international banker/tax expert.

There are so many choices which are so much better than the UK, in fact I think UK is now one of the worst, even Poland where my partner is from is far nicer than the UK and prefer spending time over there than here.

Should have added AstraZeneca just cut a huge investment in the UK and moved it to US, also thinking of relocating to US, Shell also looking at this , the 2 biggest UK companies, if Shell go BP will have to follow.

All this while UK government expenditure going thought the roof and unable to make even the smallest cuts without backbench revolts, expanding ESG putting up energy cost so forcing out more companies , totally unwilling to stop the flood of illegal immigrants adding to more costs, crime society breakdown and probable riots.

Glad I will be leaving the UK in the next few years, can't come soon enough.

When I worked for a large investment bank Barclays had spent over £1m on looking at relocating to USA and HSB also looking to relocate I believe to Singapore. A lot of banks are ready to quite the UK if more taxes added, in fact the shareholders will insist on this, Lloyds and Natwest stuck.

Not much of a change from when I was working at a large investment bank in London with 2 Indian contractors working for years in the UK sitting either side of me, they both had offshore companies where they got paid and did not pay any tax as well as NI. If they got caught they would just pack up and leave to go to another country. This was happening as IR35 was being tightened to squeeze even more out of UK contractors, 2 tier tax and NI.

Should add Sunak changed IR35 rules so companies are responsible for contractors tax, when the tax was taken as HMRC said these were within IR35 some contractors sued the companies and won and got the tax back from the companies but the companies could not get the tax back from HMRC so they banned all contractors. These included all the big banks, so for me I could not work as a contractor but too old to be taken on in permanent job. The winner from this are Indian software companies like Infosys where Sunak wife has £1bn of shares and father in law owns a lot more, coincidence, I don't think so. Looks like Labour giving more help to increase the Sunak fortune.

I have contacted II and they are aware of the problem and will fix it but do not have a timescale, you can trade over the phone at the same price as an online trade.

Looks that way as he is now using GG tactics since his own did not work, starts up an argument jumping onto one of my posts after I made a general observation (not replying to him or asking for his comments), jumping on every little thing I say to try to prove I am wrong, getting very emotional and then reverting to insults when he can't find any way to prove his points, he is just proving he has no idea about running a company, accountancy or finance. Also going back thought my posts to misquote or quote out of context, saying that my trading is not worth it as not making much (how does ne know, I only post a small fraction of my trades and he has no idea of the amounts), all the things GG did so perhaps he is also going thought GG posts for ammunition.

The one thing I can say like GG I really don't care, don't get wound up by silly posts, I don't get emotional about financial matters, it does not work, I accept my loses, do not lose sleep over them but do try to make the best out of a bad situation, nothing else makes sense.

As I say we are here to make money just some people after losing can't let go, get emotional and try to justify their position by attacking anyone that points out the bl**ding obvious. I had this with CPI when I stated the CEO was useless and bringing the company down, constantly attacked until it finally dawned, CEO was replaced by a much more suitable person got a few apologies but now everyone aggress, last CEOs name is mud and it this was by far the best move, SP recovering.

I guess this depends on your tax situation, moved all of mine to my SIPP so no tax on dividend including withholding tax but the downside is I can't use the capital losses, however since I have been short term trading I would have been caught by the 30 day rule so at least got away with that.

Yes I did say “wilfully trashed" from a dictionary definition "determined to do as you want", in the context it was used it meant Rusty was determined to do what he wants even thought he knew what was going to happen when he made more acquisitions in that the SP would drop, 8 times in row how could he not have known, I knew, most other people knew and from memory I believe you knew as you keeping telling us we need a period of clam to settle the SP. So to be clear I never said Rusty did this on purpose to trash the SP (as you well know) it was a known side effect and he just does not care as well worth it for him to fulfil his ambitions of becoming the new JR, running a bigger company and to prevent him from suffering like the rest of us he just gives himself more shares. He was so desperate get the last and biggest acquisition done he forgot to put finances in place first and had to have a fire sale of shares to get out of the mess sending to SP from £13 to £8, was around £14 before acquisition announced. As I said with this type of behaviour I am not surprised the CFO did a runner.
