That's a hell of capital loss, only makes sense from tax point of view if there are lots of gains elsewhere.

I don't think he cares what shareholder think unless of course he is try to get cash out of them and then will talk of profits that still are just a pipe dream.

As Rusty is talking about DEC this almost certainly means DEC

Not sure what is going on as looks as though takeover already a done deal but The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has formal merger inquiry, can they stop it?

Hopefully no more borrowing for a time as DEC have $416 million of undrawn credit facility capacity and unrestricted cash.

Not sure I would put too much confidence on this as this is no doubt just a BOT but does have Brokerage Recommendation as strong buy.

IMO today has dropped because of the resignation and previous days (probably leaked), these results should have lifted the SP, now 53p below a high that was only a few weeks back.

2 directors now gone without a proper explanations (last one sold out around $650,000s of shares) and just after conference call so no difficult questions to answer, perhaps not an issues but without information to the contrary the market will take a different view.

DEC doing what is does best giving out no information more that it has to.

I would not count on BBs too many times in the past BBs announced then only a few bought back, last time it was different as SP would probably crashed without them but does not mean it will continue.

Deja vu all over again.

Seems you are either blessed with good luck, ESP or perhaps a good overview of DEC which may well be the same reason for the resignation, interesting the RNS title did not mention resignation but BOD Update, I glossed over this first thing this morning based on the title and only went back for a proper look after SP kept dropping and had the time. Do DEC think putting out a title like this the shareholders will not notice it is a resignation, for Update I expected something like reshuffle.

There is a hell of a lot of past baggage which is why the SP is around half of expected value, the question is will it rerate (probably not for a time) or just keep going on the roller-coaster to who know where.

Not sure what to make of this but it does not look good, "due to other commitments" is not a very good explanation especially as "member of the Audit & Risk Committee" and has been there since 2019 and this is added to the CFO (although a time ago now) with again no explanation and timing just a few days after the H1 report and more to the point after conference call which meant Rusty did not get asked and questions about this.

This could be the reason for the drop in the SP today and perhaps for a few days if leaked out to those in the know, may be nothing but has a bad smell to it.

Good move, was tempted but now wish I had. As we have said for a long time far too much damage has been done to shareholder value so it does not take a genius to work out a lot of people want out and any strength will be sold into especially because of the share overhang. Rusty talks about a similar company where the shares are 2x DEC on value which is where DEC was before Rusty started his shenanigans, why is he so surprised, we are not, he should look in the mirror if he wants to know why.

The 6% uplift is not mush of an uplift as SP peaked higher just a few weeks ago.

IMO it is the reputation damage, share overhang and huge debt which is the cause, unfortunately this is unlikely to change for quite a while and relies on Rusty not having another cunning plan. Our best hope is the Carlyle deal bring some good news but this could be a time off if at all. We live in hope but not the best place to be when investing.

Not sure if you can deal them as I am happy to hold and don't want to ring the number to find out. I can buy in IWEB, HL and II.

I do not like this as the shares are still traded but it is a decision of the brokers not to allow you to sell them probably because they can't be bothered to remove the election you made on the takeover. This is especially bad as the takeover from PHP is not unconditional and may well fall through.

When I said was hoping NY would raise the SP today in was in relation to my earlier post where I was referring to the UK price at the time NY opens i.e. the UK price at 2:30 and of course the US price in $s from that level. Unfortunately it dragged it down.

Was hoping NY would rise the SP today but any rise is immediately sold into, just too many shares in the hands of companies that don't want them and as said could take years to soak these up.

It is all well and good Rusty confident of a re-rate with a peer example of 2x the current DEC SP but does this company have the same huge debt as DEC and he needs to look in the mirror to see the cause of the problem. The best he can do is to announce no more acquisitions for a decent amount of time and state there will be significant efforts to reduce debt, then SP will start a recovery.

This is good news but just a relatively small step in the SP recovery, it should be remembered that DEC SP was at this level just a few weeks ago. I think it is also proof that we will move forward if Rusty keeps his fingers off the buy button. The Carlyle deal could be the game change but we will have to wait to see. I think there is a good chance NY will pull the SP today.

For me this now brings 3 of my old buys into profits if you add in dividends

A decent set of results but, for these acquisitions to be accretive SP needs to be above £22 which is where it was before they started otherwise they have destroyed value also as we are now in much better market conditions than when it was at £22, AROs, green issues, etc.

Now less than £2 rise required to breaking even but only if you ignore inflation, take into account dividends and my dealing which have reduced my average but about £1.

Thanks for the tip for ENRG, bought at £0.655 on recent dip, would have bought earlier but was waiting for cash from other takeovers/winddowns to come in.
