i never understand it when a sp drops everyone starts clamouring for reassurance from the board or an rns to drop. the bod are there to run the company not to placate the fears of shareholders. it is being shorted and is under attack, and panicking pi’s are not helping. make no mistake if it hits 200p i will be in like *****.

SIG are successful in Ireland as the construction industry is doing well compared to the UK, the big problem they have is skilled labour.

It’s a shame, a great company that is getting royally shafted by Shein, Temu and UK Macron factors. I used to be heavily into Asos, looking for that magic turnaround. I first bought in May 2023 when it dipped below 500p, no one could believe it. Here we are rocking towards 50% reduction from that price. At the time, we had our Rose tinted welding goggles on and we all thought it would fly back to a 1000p. Hindsight eh?

A lovely uptick towards the close, looks well for tomorrow. If it hits 60p before 10am, I wouldn’t be surprised.

The only thing that can save this dog is PE and carve it up. The figures are shocking, I could see this slide to 10p and be bought out for less than 20p. It will be a good buy for 20p with the right management and a shake up.

@Toxic: That’s how the game works, the tail wags the dog. Algorithmic trading takes over, manipulated by a mass of automatic low volume sells, stop losses get taken out and the carnage ploughs on.

I saw this with Videndum, a complete basket case. It dropped to 28p and 3 days later it 3 bagged. The market is mental but can be profitable.

I wouldn’t get too hung up with NAV, it is just a summary of the book values of the Asset and Liabilities. It doesn’t take into context the future earnings and potential of the company. It works the other way, I have seen companies with a NAV ten times the SP and they have bombed, it has no significant bearing imo. Often those companies with an excellent NAV just have rubbish on the balance sheet.

NAV is 61.94p.
