It means that 4.5% of the allocated share capital has been shorted which equates to about 15 Million shares. Let’s say that an average trading day is a Million shares, that is 2 week’s worth of trading, which would create a significant short squeeze if all the dots became joined together at the same time and they all needed to get out fast.

The positives are a year on year operating expense reduction of 31 Million and an H2 decline of of 2% against a 6% drop in H1. Underlying operating profit expected to be 25 million in line with market expectations. Successful refinancing concluded in October 24, providing certainty on funding.

The negative is net debt gone up to 496 Million at the end of 24. A company turning over 2.61 billion and making an operating profit of 25 million is shocking but certainly has the potential to grow. I cannot see the SP imploding but the longs are in for a long wait to see this charging over 40p anytime soon, unless there is a TO which is why I am in. GLA.

It seems to me that the SIG group is crying out for a takeover and that is why I am in and will continue to chase it down. Make no mistake, SIG is the strongest Brand out there and with new leadership and culture, she will fly. If it fades to 12p, it will be bought out for 30p ish, which would suit me.

@Alvarro: You seem very bitter, have you been demoted within the SIG organisation? At the current SP, I see value, but we will know this time tomorrow.
