Anyone know why the I rules would force them to sell their position and what levels those would be at?

bubbles to pop, its inevitable, I bought Apple stock at $25 in 2000 just before the tech bubble popped, since then it did a 100:1 split and I sold at $200. It's not the bubbles bursting which is a day-trader issue, its backing the right horse!

same reason it got to just above 300p but with the 25% fund raise discounted, fundamentals the same but now with funding, CE mark and production scale manufacture under way

I think as testing continues and the longer term requirements become apparent, Genedrive and its mass production of reagent beads and POC platform will become a key player. Looking forward to US FDA and sales channel RNS, and first sales RNS, possibly next week

The more alarming was the article below, Boris has to consider more testing and longer lockdown. Iran like Italy was a good indication of where the UK was heading

I think the GDR test reduces the chance of failures outside of sample, so it gives a clear indication that sample was a problem rather than component issues or process issues in the lab

@olderandwiser, I must confess to having bought some shares here this morning. My own opinion is that it's the joint venture around mass spec that will yield a sensitive test for certain defined applications and the ride will secure some uplift in share price from here

I think the Novacyt single gene target test will run in to problems now the standard is to look for 2 gene targets. Given the choice of needing to make up your test yourself or to just add sample, and between 1- or 2-target tests, Genedrive seems to have a better test as we asserted all along. This definitely now puts Novacyt on the back foot imo and they'll either have to bite the bullet and reconfigure their test (months) or try and sell an inferior product...

For me the reason for continuing to hold is I believe there has to be long term benefit in continuity of supply, the world is a changing and insecure place at the moment and oil is a key resource for keeping things moving through the ups and downs of lockdowns and oil pricing shenanigans... Here we have a great supply onshore, accessible and productive. I too am surprised where we are but we are now moving in the right direction imo.

Ordinarily with other tests you have to make them up yourself and you are not sure if the test fails if its the sample or something that hasn't been 'mixed' right. With the Genedrive test everything is in the same tube including a control. If the internal controls fails then it can only be down to a poor sample because the uncertainties around the other components are removed. An important USP for lab based and POC based tests.

Nor the test turn around times. Ideally we need a combination of lab based 24 hour turnaround and POC molecular diagnostics... oh

we deserve a break and a move closer the the brokers target of 0.7p now with all the positive news

@sneaky, there is no doubt affimers are neat, highly specific molecules that can target the bits you need to detect. The issue is at the other end, how can you detect the binding with a high enough sensitivity. PCR does it by copying, but lateral flow type tests require ‘developing’ the signal. PCR makes billions of copies, lateral flow is often a 1:1 detection so billions of times less sensitive. That’s where the problem with affimer and antibody based tests are - signal amplification. Been like that for 20 years plus

@marve, there’s certainly a lot of debate about how long you’re protected after infection, we simply don’t know because the disease so new. The common cold is a coronavirus and we know that you can continually be catching colds and the body doesn’t build such an immune response to it.

It certainly is a mess. This virus has been let out of Pandora’s box either by poor health standards through animal trading In wet markets or something more sinister.

Where to we go now? If there is no immune response capable of offering protection then qPCR testing will be forever needed so people can isolate if infected rather than guessing their Covid status.

Until we are at 0 new cases for 28 weeks the chances of a second wave remain. As we know it only takes 1 infected person to start a pandemic!
