They are not just Genedrive, it was set up for healthcare provision, I suspect the backers Lions Gate promised Genedrive as a first product.

@Magsy18 not necessarily, the website is 'hidden' in as much as it sits with no search keywords, you can't find it by googling it. Thats often the case whilst you're building it and allowing partners to view and comment on content. The partners all align too, current Genedrive investors and link through to Gates investment. It all stacks up. Expect RNS soon!

agree apart from Lion's is an investor for Gates money and specifically for bringing healthcare product to developing nation so the groups involved form a coherent set of parts

agree Dream, this is a significant group of investors targeting the Indian healthcare market, the right backers for sure.

The DIVOC web site seems to be hidden from any google search etc, I'm not sure how whoever found it, well, found it! So IO suspect if Genedrive see this now announced they'll have to rush something out, if they do I hope they take the time to explain the people involved and its very top backers from Lion and Gates otherwise it just looks like a small distributor which it isn't with those backers on board....

Doesn’t seem to be an RNS this morning, maybe that website caught them on the hop. If it’s genuine then hopefully they make a point of it being Lion’s Head backed and also the link through the the Gates foundation. That would definitely be a news worthy announcement and share price mover!

Found this older RNS mentioning Lion’s Head. They are investors in Genedrive and therefore link through to Gates investment and linked to this new Indian business. Really interesting and should make for an interesting RNS. Maybe a new business but seems to be backed by the right people

Sometimes companies are too small to acquire. I should imagine once our market cap becomes viable for takeover we shall see interest. Hence my thoughts last week around institutions needing to sell due to limits on the one hand but not wanting to crash the share price. Sort of makes sense. Now they are balanced we hopefully should see a climb back to the £3s imo with news flow obvs

The only way of lifting lockdown is by testing everyone, continuously, and rapidly isolating. It would be very different if there was a therapy but there’s doesn’t seem to be. There is also mixed data on how long you’re protected after infection. It could be months not years.

Unfortunately I think you’re correct but I think you can already see the numbers increasing slightly and I think the problem has been the trend of people breaking lockdown rules, it was 4% and now greater than 10%. Alas because of the wide spread (1 in 1000 thought to be currently infected), now any mass gatherings despite the correctness of the protest, is going to lead to an accelerating infection rate. The next 2-4 weeks will see a big rise, just as in Iran and some Asian countries. Government handled the perception of breaking lockdown poorly and have missed opportunities to educate the population about pandemic and how we need to behave to prevent loss of life. Anyone breaking lockdown needs to think on...
