Bubble, that's right , interested in Engineering companies like MSI , been invested there a few years check them out especially cash position and before you say they are on AIM - yes but I invested there before I got burned on many other aimcompanies!

Alan, I think I need to explain my 4x . At peak demand on cold days the energy transmitted by the gas network is four times the energy transmitted by the electricty network. The source of that information is ntional grid and it is from about 3 years ago but unlikely to have changed. People and in particular politicians just don't understand we cannot replace the energy from gas with energy from electricty , even with a bit of hydrogen thrown in. It will not happen by 2030 for sure.

Makes me chuckle when people talk about storing hydrogen. Where will it come from ? There will occasionally be some surplus electricty from renewables that could be turned into hydrogen but that will be used up in a few fish and chip shops locally. Given the gas demand these days is 4X in energy terms the electricty demand during cold weather there will be a huge energy deficit even if ALL electricty production was converted to hydrogen. We are living in fantasy land and clearly physics was an option not taken up by many in government!

Bubble, in answer to your questions, I am still interested in the company as I support british industry and in particular engineering companies. In this case I answered a question from another poster and gave my view. I have not missed out on an entry point as I am generally trying to avoid aim listed companies and in this case too much uncertainity over finance. Lots of other posters are giving a similar view imho.

Scaffman, I cannot put a figure on the extent to which the company is over extended but it is clear that with interest rates rising and the company noting the interest bill rising there is a problem. In addition the rising order book will inevitably give rise to more cash being tied up over multi year projects. That would be fine if the company had a great balance sheet and was operating with high margins but it had to win its work competitively and that normally means a squeeze on margins. I lost faith and money here a few months back , when the scatter gun approach to developing the business did not make sense any more to me. I hope the company suceeds but i fear the worse.

Tonno, I think the company is over extended and ultimately will go under and get refinanced under new ownership.

I think I would have preffered another pump maintenance engineer appointed to solve the acquifer problem . Maybe I will read his cv further...

Atisha, I realise that debating our government's approach to the eu is an academic exercise now, but they were about 5 x bigger than us economically and therefore had more clout , so we were never going to win. It is similar to the way the USA treats its trading partners and indeed ourselves - the smaller guy gets screwed over. The good news now is , of course the eu deepening project will be on hold and maybe reversed - so if it returns to a trading block of nation states it will become something more attractive imv.

MV, great post . This government were so scared of the inflationary effects of decent pay for care workers and nhs workers they decided to import them by the hundreds of thousands saving the treasury and by implications us taxpayers millions. But at what cost? Rents through the roof and an overpopulated country straining our whole infrastructure. For example About 3 years ago Thames Water said thet could tell the London population was actually 1million higher than official figures from sewage volumes and that was before the current fuss.

So what will happen next? The Tories will be wiped out and Reform will takeover as the oppostion , maybe even being elected in 5 years time. I think their policies are what we need but i cannot bring myself to vote for them because fargae failed to see the EU would screw us over when we left!

I think the defence part needs a new owner - like Bae systems to ensure the gun mounting delivery is within a large organisation that purchasers of large orders can be confident has the resources , financila and otherwise. Sp falling today is disappointing.

Midland, I think labour will be much like the tories - lots of words about planning but nothing material. More important is interest rate reductions which will happen in Dec imv [maybe earlier] but that will trigger sp recovery imv.

Here's the biggest challenge for labour - how to implement net zero by 2030 , i.e during their time in office. The 4 big challenges are;

1. Cost £675 bn for infratructure - public money from where?

2. Poor consumer demand - evs are stalling with company cars only real take up and ashp's are confined to new builds mostly - because the public dont want either nwo first adopters are satisfied.

3. Insufficient labour to reinforce the electricty networks - they took over 100 years to install - how will they be duplicated in 5?

4. Insufficient resources - cabling etc as the green madness is through the west.

So the policy is doomed to failure and even Professor Dieter Helm says it cant be done! [ No doubt Oxford Uni will sack him soon].

But addidas sp up - so market is not seeing a sector problem imv.

On solid - I recognise they are underresourced but instead of turning round simple complaints in say D plus 15 they take a year and in my case got it wrong and were redirected by the ombudsman to re visit the complaint. Having worked in a large organisation that handled multiple complaints I could see how they needed new processes. Unbelieveably bad.

Anyone else had dealings with the fca? I have they are hopelessly bureaucratic and seem to go out of their way to prolong and complicate matters. Clearly they will only deal effectively with a miniscule of their workload and that is a root cause of poor governance in UK leading to our demise as an investor friendly market.

Well, I decided to put a few £k in here as I am thinking the risk of failure of the deal is quite small and the return over the next 3 months quite good relative to the banks etc. We shall see.

It likely cost the company £2k to issue the RNS that says we are getting another £11k per annum. Desperate or what?
