Dorfan, good point and the root cause of much crime is poverty. 90% of the UK is much poorer now than it was a few decades ago imv because of inflation. Whilst the official inflation data shows prices have risen 10x over the last 50 years the truth is most of the things people need to survive and have a reasonable quality of life have gone up 20x and more and if you dont believe me just google it.This has largely happened over a period when the value of the GBP has fallen significantly making our imported food stuffs etc more expensive, our energy costs have risen as we rush blindly towards net zero [jobs and warmth] and over populated the country with cheap labour pushing up housing costs. All governments have played a part in this and the many have suffered. How do we turn this around? We don't just more of the same tinkering with inflation measures, borrow ing more kicking the debt can down the road . Labour don't have the answers that is clear. Happy friday.
