Savage, innovation will surely help food production but the fact remains we are importing more and more food and our population growth in % terms is rapid and far out weighs the incremental gains from innovations. More important , however is the quality of life, general happiness and health of our population all of which is in general decline and accelerating down as recent news events show. The UK has been led into a shameful state by its politicians and frankly the economic postion is dire which will affect us all , including BT investors !

Savage, we can only feed 30 million and that will reduce as the insane netzero target results in more good farm land turned over to solar panles and If you believe reducing our carbon footprint is essential you will see that we need to stop wasting energy importing food, etc. we need to reduce our population and improve our quality of life.
