That might allow them to wriggle a bit.

I think that at around 65 he is too old to be ceo of sidara/wood - but in any case they already have a ceo. He certainly could be chairman . I do think he has 'unfinished business' within Oil and Gas and must look at Gilmartons cv and laugh - i did !

To be fair to the company - it was not their doing that led to the motor claim debacle. At the heart of this is the UK regulatory system which encourages claim management companies at little cost to heap huge costs on the likes on vanq. Furthermore the FCA regulations seem to be to blame to a large degree. Even our useless chancellor can see the damage this set up is causing the economy. If/when it gets sorted the sp here will take off. If not it will keep retreating as the business gets smaller.

RNS reads like bust to me. The spurious claims from CMCs are dragging this company under - something needs to be done about that and somewhere in the back of my mind I thought something had but I did'nt read anything in the rns to that effect.

Well done Starmer for getting rid of some admin and making the government department [DHSS} work for its money. The one thing that is certain to happen however is that £millions will be spent on redundancies and then a large proportion of the lower tier staff will be re recruited when it is discovered that they were actually doing something useful!

On the Neil Bruce theme , when I worked at Amec it was common knowledge that he actually ran the company , while the super smooth CEO , Samir, fluent in at least 4 languages swanned around the world meeting the high and mighty.

Meanwhile , this must be good news;

News) - The British government said Friday that it would increase its export credit facilities for weapons manufacturers by GBP2 billion, approximately USD2.6 billion, to boost overseas sales.

The new funds "will see billions of pounds unlocked for UK defence companies that export overseas, driving economic growth and creating jobs across the UK," it said in a statement.

Already the UK Export Finance agency has a lending capacity of GBP8 billion specifically for government clients of defence contractors, bringing the new total to GBP10 billion.

I am pleased with that NHS news- what I can't fathom is why there seem to be at least a dozen ceos - surely just one is enough!

The UK economy has several self inflicted problems just now;

1. Private Investment in companies only adds to IHT tax bills - so better to hand the cash to the next generation now and live another 7 years for a guaranteed 40% return.

2. Increased energy costs through expensive importation of LNG from USA , Qatar and Australia and electricity from France when we could produce more of our own with lower north sea taxes .

3. Increased taxes on employers putting off all company investments as returns will naturally be lower

4. Increased corporation tax putting off all company investments

5. Sending money overseas for net zero projects there when UK economy is cash strapped.

What really annoys me is that the market got wind of this and the price dropped accordingly yesterday - people should go to jail for leaking information for others to act on.

Meanwhile we have a ceiling price until the placement is complete. I am not fussed about the warrants given the higher price at which they kick in - hope we get there soon.

Meanwhile a raise at over 9p is not bad imv .

The RNS w ill have cost more to issue than the £800 of gold produced - oh dear.

Convinced myself to buy a second tranche of £3.5k - sold some RR to finance it.

I just bought another £3.5k for two reasons - the Trump trade wars will be rolled back and the ukrainian 'peace' will result in lower oil prices and more travel and the market seems to not realise those benefits imv.

Sp will rise today imv - ggreat numbers imv.

Denzi - I hope you are right - I was basing my view on the fact that we have been cash flow negative every year since 2020 and face $200m negative cash flow this year having previously said we would be cash flow positive! Leading me to think that the rates will rise and /or the covenants tighten and likely fresh capital demanded by the lenders.

Hopefully a takeover will be agreed and we will never know.

I have not sold any wg shares and my lowest average in one of my accounts is 37p. WRT the company's financial position as I recall it there are some bonds that need refinancing some time next year and I can see no way that can be done without fresh capital . Perhaps you can enlighten me if I have misundertood what the ceo and our part qualified cfo told us?
