There has not been a single sell, just as in several recent trading days, buy volume has significantly outpaced sell volume but share price is not affected until a UT trade completes after hours. Someone is playing games, perhaps quietly building a position because trhey know what is coming.

@pebsi - I think there are a number of us that have advocated the pursuit of DSO over other assets but we have no control or influence over the BoD. Nonetheless, it appears that progress, albeit, very slow progress, is being made.

@Chrisatbirdies - probably will not happen because that would need a shareholder vote which this BoD seem to actively avoid (I can probably guess why). However, with subsidiaries such as IOCA, no vote needed so they can do whatever they want with them.

HH - the big difference was the shares in issue - prior to placement less than 100 million compared to 7.5billion. ERW could raise, #UFO simply could not risk another sunstantive raise.

I cannot make my mind up on whether this is a good or bad RNS for Alien Metals. I have read and re-read the RNS. As things stand, Alien receives a fairly paltry up front figure but a substantial shareholding in Errawarra (or whatever it's going to be called) - 17.5% of total shares following the placement. The JV announcement from Errawarra has been favourably received by the ASX market, more than doubling overnight. Some talk of the Errawarra SP moving as high a 20 cents so if that happens, starts to make the deal look much better. However, whilst that is my heart talking, my head keeps pointing me to the individuals involved - as incestuous as an Alabama redneck convention, so the reality will probably see the Errawarra SP dive over coming months just like #UFO's has done. I hope I'm wrong but l expect the Alien SP to get hit hard today unless there is other project news included in its announcement that puts the Errawarra JV into perspective.

@Goingtomoonufo - the AA deal has expired from the mouth of GR unless you have inside information on a new AA deal?

What happened to the boutique investment bank that was managing the expressions of interest that halted the so-called JV at the end of August last year? This is just another bulls**t holding announcement because, as usual, they’ve got nothing to offer shareholders.

What 'soft pressure' would you suggest, CJ? If we write e-mails, they're either ignored or full of bulls**t. The SP has been decimated despite the continual mantra of 'shareholder value'. Perhaps, on occasions, it is appropriate to flex one's muscles, especially if you have the muscles to flex.

@MetalDetector - that will be because the broker's name is on the share register, not you, otherwise you would receive the voting papers directly.

@normbeef - the only way to pressure any board, not just #UFO, is to bring shareholders together formally. Boards can just choose to ignore a letter or e-mail, or, worse, spin a load of bulls***. You don't have to overthrow the board but once they know you have a voice with the numbers to back it up, they have to sing a different tune. I read a lot on various AIM forums that there is no accountability from these 'lifestyle' companies but all we do is whinge and moan and occasionally write a letter or e-mail. If you want change, you have to come together and make the companies listen.
