Investing should never be led by emotions although that is easier said than done because it is herd mentality that drives baggers or the FOMO. I usually set a 30% profit margin and then get out (Alien is my one exception). Some have gone on to double in price, others have halved but I'm happy with my gain.

@Sinterklasse - what's your view on the appointment of Strand Hanson as nominated advisor? It appears to have gone under the radar somewhat but may be of significance now that £UFO has brought in a mine developer. Do you think they are looking to go it alone?

Just makes you realise what can be achieved with a competent, energised and focused team. Makes #UFO's 'shovel ready' declarations of the last couple of years seem even more clown-like.

Look at the bid/ask spread - has more than halved this morning - suggests liquidity has come into the market because the MMs know there is demand. I believe the 18million was necessary to provide the liquidity for forthcoming buy requests.

I'm hoping it's the new guy, quickly putting his money where mouth is.

To be fair, CJ, Alien Metals has not exactly been the most reliable at meeting its own self-imposed deadlines. Nonetheless, it does look like it is all coming together, so perhaps on this occasion....

Hi Smiller - it was clear in the latest funding RNS that the company were proactive about not allowing the lender to achieve 30% plus holding which would trigger a buy-out position. Probably safe to assume neither he nor the company want to be put in that position.

Here we go, CJ: Alien Metals Australia Pty Ltd ("AMA"), Mallina Exploration PTY LTD, Iron Ore Company of Australia - those are the ones I have found to date.

CJ - Much of UFO's holdings are through subsidiaries which the BoD can do whatever they want with - Articles of Association, etc. I don't remember any shareholder votes for their creation so why expect anything different for when it comes to their disposal.

Maybe it's someone trying to inject some liquidity into the market because something's coming and there will be demand for the shares - just an alternative view.

Never got the impression it was being taken seriously. Sure, it's recorded in the December 2023 slide presentation but focus was more on PGMs and Elizabeth Hill. I note that neither of the Q1 objectives for the Pinderi Hills site (including Elizabeth Hills) have been accomplished.

hi ****nalles - the recently announced jv was specifically for lithium which has not really been on alien metals' radar until now. as its value is unknown, it's fair to say it's not currently reflected in the sp. however, errawarra has said that it is moving quickly regarding sampling so, hopefully, there will be good news later in the year. meanwhile, we await futher announcements on hanc**k and on pgms at pinderi hills.

No it does not - only if they decide to 'dispose' of the asset within 5 years of making a decision to mine - clause 4 to which clause 5 links.

@JAllis - why would they do nothing for 5 years? There has been numerous mentions of JVs, partnerships being considered. As each milestone towards production is reached, the risk reduces, making UFO's projects more attractive to potential partners. In the latest funding agreement, the BoD were very careful to not allow the lender to garner more than 30% of the company's shares. Why? Because the lender could or would be required to initiate a buy-out as per AIM rules. You should be more concerned with what the BoD decides to do with IOCA - no necessity to put to shareholder vote according to the company's articles of association.

It only becomes an issue should UFO decide to 'dispose' of the assets. With such a performance payment hanging over a disposal, it is much easier to keep hold of the assets for 5 years. It has a mining licence for 21 years, enough of an encouragement not to dispose.

The news many of us have been waiting for and sells outnumber buys by 50%. You couldn't make this s**t up. Almost every time UFO releases positive news, there is a concerted effort to stop any meaningful increase in the SP. It increased more this week on no news.
