RE: BOD21 Sep 2023 08:54
@Chris2 - I understand where you are coming from but there have been one or two recent activities that have restored my faith a little:
1. Improved communications that appear to portray the company as moving forward, albeit slowly, to a production position
2. Results from the pre-production testing appear very positive for the Hanc**k project
3. The rejection of the funding tranche can be viewed from different points of view - negatively, the BOD didn't want the repayment terms, instead preferring the free lunch from the shares placement. However, countering this, is the view that the BOD must surely understand that, unless they can tap into known support from institutional investors, another share placement is unlikely to be succesful in the short-term (18-24 months) and the market will decimate the share price and mean any 'rewards' coming to the BOD will very unlikely ever be realised. I cannot believe the BOD would be so shortsighted but, then, perhaps I am just niaive.
4. Whilst many saw the recent performance rewards negatively, my view was that they set out reasonable time frames for results and so shareholders should also benefit if those targets are realised. If TW holds his performance rewards until the 2.5p target is achieved, he stands to be £6million plus wealthier - not a bad incentive to succeed and all within the next couple of years.
Of course, my views could be pie in the sky, overly positive but I invest for clients on a daily basis, undertake extensive research on all companies or funds that I recommend. I am personally invested in UFO to several million shares and currently weighing up to go in for considerably more. Perhaps I'll get burnt, perhaps it will change me and my family's life for generations to come, who knows? Not because I expect to make millions from UFO but because I hope to make just enough to allow me to reconfigure my investment portfolio in a way that takes the pressure off daily life.
