Whitbread’s Premier Inn chain has all the resources it requires to deliver steady growth in hotel capacity in the UK, yet the FTSE 100 group’s share price has stubbornly refused to regain pre-pandemic levels.

Analysts at Peel Hunt, though. remain positive on the stock thinking that its German hotel business could provide the required impetus. They say the business has the potential to grow its estate tenfold, adding: “The emergence of the German business as a successful new growth driver will catalyse a rerating.”

The German operation has 40 hotels and another 38 in the pipeline and Peel Hunt believes the division could break into profit next year, advising its clients: “The German business is only now getting off the production line post-Covid 19 and onto the autobahn. Buckle up before it picks up speed.”

Shares of Whitbread, which were were trading at almost £44 in March 2019, more than halved during the pandemic. Yesterday, they closed 58p higher to £25.22, a rise of 2.4 per cent.

brokers algo's are pricing sectors down across the board at times and with respect to oil companies they are also pricing them often simply on the general daily oil price moves..... individal stocks with profits, cash and growth are currently all treated the same irrespective of figures...depending on your individual view of a company's performance and potential the current general indicies moves either provide opportunity or are something to be feared....oil demand imo will only increase as we approach autumn, and ulimately we are not buying the current oil price we are investig in a company that is set to deliver profits cash etc. despite the oil price moves, oil above $100 simply means even higher profits etc :-)

Shell plans to build a massive renewable hydrogen plant in Rotterdam, the oil- and gas giant announced on Wednesday. Holland Hyrdogen I will be the largest in Europe and should be operational in 2025, the company said.

Shell will build the plant on the Tweede Maasvlakte in the port of Rotterdam. Once fully operational, the plant can produce up to 60,000 kilograms of renewable hydrogen daily.

indeed, oil price is a factor, however, even at much lowe levels PTAL is generating cash, profits etc...I'm investing a company making progress, profits and cash, higher oil prices simply mean even higher profits, cash etc.....

With so many pluses in this announcement, increased production, excellent receivables making strong free cash flow leading to debt paydown and subsequent distributions PetroTal has yet again stamped its quality on the sector.

Totally plc (AIM: TLY), a leading provider of frontline healthcare services, corporate fitness and wellbeing services across the UK and Ireland, has signed contract extensions for the provision of five urgent treatment centres ("UTC") across North-West London (the "Contract Extensions").



The Contract Extensions, together valued at £19 million, have been awarded to Totally's wholly-owned subsidiaries, Greenbrook Healthcare Limited ("Greenbrook") and Vocare Limited ("Vocare"), which make up its Urgent Care Division and run until 31 January 2023.



In addition, Greenbrook has been awarded a contract extension for the delivery of its virtual streaming service in South-East London. The contract extension, which enables patients who have been directed to a UTC by NHS 111 to see a clinician virtually, is worth £0.4 million and runs to September 2022.

so RBC downgrade to current price 280p against the backdrop of excellent figures and a resilient business with excellent recurring revenue etc....suggesting PETS is fully valued... a strangely timed 'downgrade' just as PETS initiate a buy back programme ...... people love their pets, look after their pets and pet ownership is hardly a fad....fully expect a 'great growth against difficult backdrop' upgrade from the same folk in a few months as they change their 'position', all part of the investment /trading game , let's see what ii's builds a position in PETS over coming months ;-)
