Mr gonzo, those that think Sidara will make a firm bid at 30p, 35p or higher during suspension will want to be in today (there will be no chance if/when WG trading restarts)...so if one thinks there will be some mutually acceptable takeover then one should not be out.

It has already been suggested by BOD/KG, substantial work to restate accounts and they do not expect it will be done by 30 April. Sidara have laid their conditions. I do not expect anything today but suspension, and then a patient wait watching the events unfold. So dont punish yourselves or others with false expectations of some miraculous news today.

Scub. IF the offered price is accepted in a majority vote of shareholders. A timetable will be published specifying when cash would arrive in your account. That is what happened at Shanta Gold. I do not know what size of majority is required to approve acceptance of offer...at shanta it was 70/75%, cant remember exact figure.

....oh, I should add WG is going overseas...I dont suppose it will affect `cosmopolitan' engineers- it will affect local economies and the exchequer. Milibands energy transformation/renewal projects will enrich the companies to which they give contracts , and the countries in which these companies pay taxes (f any).

Aim, I thought you had gone. Nevertheless, you post is unclear- the accounts for 22, 23 and HY24 are being restated after Deloitte review. I would imagine that is a lot of historical/archival work...I suspect Deloitte have already identified the areas; if I am not mistaken, it was Deloittes `forensic accountants' that were deployed. Accounts may be ready sooner than people think, but may only be `published' when the `players' have finished playing...the accounts will be complete well before publication.

Jen, while I agree with you,you focus on the automation units(s). Wood Group as a whole is something Sidara could not create- if they want in, they have to buy.

I asked why Sidara did nor go for Petrofac... the response I got was `Who cares'. I care, I want to understand Sidaras interest in Worley and the Wood Group, and why Sidara might thing either of them to be worth pursuing.

The question has to be asked why did Sidara not pursue Petrofac, and pursued Wood and Worley? What `value' does Sidara see in Wood and Worley that it does not see in others?

Who cares...perhaps no-one.
