OMG hahahaaa darkstuffsunset, I can see you have been sitting at home and drinking a damn good whiskey. HUR,GKP, RKH, PMO all down around 34%/30% BP around 16% they are just mine (bought back into both GKP and RKH....again/further...note last add was RKH at 33p).
Tomrow PMO RNS. Still not expecting a significant FID anouncement: As the PMO board is saying; a good RNS will be about debt reduction. There will be no small/leak anouncement regarding FID...no maybe /maybe not..its tight infomation.
RKH have not changed for the negative since the last RNS in anyway.
As before PoO is the driver in this 27% fall.
Relax darkstuffsky...until Zama get put ahead of Sealion of course.

Price drop in Oil: A consideration?
Would it be wrong to think that the price reduction has been as a result of an increase in production (obviously) but could think increase in production be in anticipation of the western hemesphere entering the winter period and therefore a increase in resultant demand. If the production was not increased ahead of demand would that have pushed up the price (say Brent previously up at $84)...which absolutely no one wanted.
So dropped now in anticipation of as detailed above????
Shorters/ profitakers anticipate this and Oil SP's effected accordingly.
Is this train of thought way off??

You are right: Would be nice to get some good news from the "office". Any increase in production to justify the investment. Until RKH start getting more $ comming in than going out the board have not proven themselves much to me.
Apart from getting Sea Lion going (well PMO getting it going) it would be interesting to understand what their long term plans are? I ponder this because Mr Moody has given a good part of his life to achive this/his primary goal (These other investments being an "attempt" to maintain liquidity) are they going to be tempted by a buy out offer or do they want to go all the way i.e isoble. I may be wrong but they do not give off the feel of a company capable of stepping up to a serious long term operator i.e even thier name. Maybe that is never their intention...that would be a question to ask at the next AGM. It is worth of speculation and understanding this could indicate the take over appetite.

Hey Much, cheers for the reply. Difficult to get it spot on buying in (or selling). I think we all know this fluctation is out of our hands. My more established oilers remain up (suprisingly even HUR). Its just RKH/PMO...but as before they (as we all know) will remain the most vunerable until the red light turns to if not green at least amber. We are all in for the 2023 trek...so its a way to go. I (again "we) would hope a positive anouncement FID would add a more institutional type of investor. Would you think this larger sp movement/drop/range is as a result of shorters or just speculative profit taking players?
I still feel unconcerned about the present price...after all I would not sell (ISA) if it went to 100p post FID. My investment commitment was to first Oil. If we get FID i think things will move forward quickley...i.e before the likes of Subsea7 get too busy..tying in the contractors and equipment delivery dates i.e. FPSO build/refurb time, trees, flowlines etc etc

Well Just added £1K with PMO at 101.30 and unfortunately added £3k of RKH at 33.6 earlier (doh) into a separate NON ISA account. I have decided to leave my ISA commitments as is i.e. long term but with such volatility in these shares over the years; I might as well keep myself amused with some attempt at speculative investing.
My guess is that even when (note the "when") we get FID, the share price is still going to fluctuate (even at new levels), so rightly or wrongly it will keep me interested in the short term ups and downs over the period.
ISA oils have gone from positive 27% to a negative 0.36% in a month...made so by my errant children Rocky and Pricilla.
If we look at the actual shares over this month PMO they have dropped around 28% and RKH just under 22% in the same period.
Role on some news (positive) please.

Hi Oll, this is just my opinion (seeing from your post, you have been into the Rock a long time) but RKH I know you know this) is not like Shell, BP, Equinor, Cheveron etc etc. Those companies spend serious amounts of money looking after share holders (via dividends). I actually considered BP rather than RKH in 2016 as my choice of sig entry...hoping that they might reduce their dividend at the time..and therefore trigger a further/bigger reduction in their share price, which was around 370 (from memory only). Never happened...those companies live for the share price. RKH bod are just no where in any way thinking that way...i.e RKH how many employees....BP has xxxxx. <br />The thing that always struck me was a utube vid of Fiona (gone) doing a speach about RKH and their history / funding and she used the word...several times! when charting this development...It went something like..."xxx Phase drilling...needed more funding KEERCHING"..."success...next round of funding KEERCHING"<br />It was quite incredible...she used the word KEERCHING about 3 times, to present themselves in such away to their "peers" in such away.<br />As shareholders we are, especially relevant to our investment level...totally irrelevant. We are not Alecta, ATP, Danica pension, Safe etc etc (I know you know this too) so zero influence. We have elected to high risk gamble on oil and aim...gulp. It would be good to understand why RKH and PMO has dropped so. All I can see, for the reason is very skittish sentiment by those large investors that work the volatile oil markets.
Would it be right to think that with the recent uncertainties regarding the relation ship between the US and "Kingdom" that investors have decided to take profits?
The AIM listed companies suffering more.
Is it feasible that companies trigger and automated sell off across ALL of their oil sector investments and therefore would it be irrespective of company status? I ask this because it would be very strange for a sell off RKH/PMO when a FID announcement could happen at any point (announcement: I know improbably but not impossible). I find it hard other than this to understand why it is happening.
Unless of course there are those who are privileged to what would be illegal (and also easily traceable, if reported or scrutinised) insider information via PMO i.e. No FID etc etc
So automated Oil Sector "sell" is all I can conceive as being the reality of the situation.
If it is shorter's then they have some amazing foresight when oil was heading up to take a short on it?
I have little understanding of how large traders conduct their ways, so if any other can come up with other scenario's (please other than SM and TD are crooks etc etc). I would find it an interesting and (hopefully) educational discussion.

Still interested in the cost of PMOs involvement in Zama.
If its 25% of the presented appraisal campaign i.e 325mil then a conservative esitmate of 2bil for part development +considering Tolmount costs also: I belive my concern remain valid for risk of delay. Zama is a cheaper option (shared cost) established infrastructure, with a good return.
I hear O & M saying/indicating Zama could monetize Sealion, but surley not in a decent time frame?
Or am I off the mark in considering this as a option?
I have put this forward because I am seeing more articals about Zama than Sea Lion.

O have PMO put out any figures for the development cost of Zama...I would guess it not going to be cheap: PMO is in with 25% of Zama correct.

I am not privie to the detail of the contract that RKH have with FIG but it would be a inconceivable for RKH and the present situation to be lost or past to another at this stage and after this amount of time: Argintina set the pace for operator selection by (so i have understood from the bb's) by stating who ever developed the Malvinas etc etc. So who else would. Couple this with the time limit/life of oil and cars..i.e demand for such will be significantely reduced +15yrs from now.
If feed and saction do not happen within the next year, it never will.Other easier/established places will provide the requirements.
The only threat is Zama over Sea Lion ...if PMO go that way then I sell RKH.

HUR PMO, GKP, RKH, BP and Shell all of my oil shares have been climbing consistently climbing over the month but over the last 5 days consistently falling. So its a common factor and prossibley related to the enviromental /climate change conference, spooking traders who took profits in an expectation or fear of a oil price reduction. Cheap AIM oil companies are just more vunerable than the FSE blue chippers.
This movement in RKH and PMO is irrelevant to long termers and an oppertunity for traders.

Probably a good thing and possibly explains the slight reduction in my oil holdings today.

Bloo, I had not seen the article before. An interesting in so much that it focuses on projecting doubt for sea Lion i.e introduces the article by talking of the sell offs,
Then titles the next section with the "Where does Falklands Sea Lion fit in Premier’s strategy?"
Then speaks of "have the appetite for more indebtedness to fund Sea Lion"
Then trys to twist the knife a bit in by saying Tolmount next (done deal)
AND finally with an attempt at a coup de gras
Then: ZAMA - Sea Lion isn’t Premier’s biggest potential growth project either, given that the Zama well discovered a possible billion barrels offshore Mexico this summer (albeit that project is still in a much earlier stage).
What is Zamas expected cost?

2. Look we need to think about developing some of the assets we have bought
3. Yes it should be sealion first
4. Yes the market is right now to seek the addtional funding with some success of getting it?
Its a lot of money and we are not long out of a very large oil recession

M and G, both good points:
With Oil and sanctions on the rise the timing to attract additional investment for the project is hopefully positive for the FID.
A potential positive view could be: The article posted previously regarding Argentina taking an interest in what could be available in their waters. Not with standing the survey boat that was "steered" away previous to that post.
If they feel there is oil present the development of the Falkland as a close hub may soften their previous harder stance. It would be too much (but not impossible) to think that they could drop their threat of banning operators from working in Argentina if involved in FI/Malvinas waters.
The greens have not raised much yet about the FI development unlike say the artic circle BUT they do have an "working" interest in that area i.e. anti whaling. I am not sure if they would get the same support from the FI people for disrupting any development.
I feel PMO have possible gained respect (under TD) in managing their finances and the Sea lion project is firmly with in their field of project development experience.
In addition ALL oil companies must continue to expand their field portfolios as (we all know) the ones working are always diminishing.
I think we can all agree (it been said a lot) that we will not get any real larger share interest until FID is approved.
Finance liquidity is my main concern/fear and as has been posted if any one can allay that with figures (MAM maybe) it would be good. I have read your posts regarding the Italian governments requirement to pay if it loses...but none the less...
I am not sure what RKH are still liable to pay for the Sea lion development, they keep saying that the Egypt ops and any others are their to maintain a balance sheet to keep them going but that is just for G&A correct?
It would be good if RKH actually put out forward projections?

I have made good returns GKP (sold) and upped on HUR but remain the most committed to RKH
