Nothing we havent talked about before, but I am assuming that if Energean are on the hook for an exit payment to Char, and therefore they are negotiating by simply drawing things out - knowing full well that Chariot will favour a deal

Either that or Enog are transferring direct to another party for a consideration, some of which is then payable to Char as comp, etc

I suspect until Enog transfer the licence and they sign the deal that they are unable to communicate on Morroco. Onshore is being farmed out / funded at the sub level, Namibia we are waiting on the ministry. They have told us in the last month an update will be soon, but I suspect it's entirely dependent on the Energean transfer outcome unless Loukos, or Namibia conclude first. Btw, I'm not saying I like it

I would expect the scaled back development to be somewhere between the 1C and the 2C (~350-650). Even at the 1C level, Chariots current share is worth £0.40 per share according to Auctus to give an idea of the value on offer here. I am not suggesting it will hit that level, however I am suggesting there is a lot of value not in the price if a smaller development is confirmed. Even Energean have stated that there is gas, which would suit a smaller developer. The Morrocans have recently (March) highlighted that Anchois is part of their pipeline plans - see yesterday's article.

There is also nothing in for Namibia or Loukos.

For anyone reading this, consider what HC's real motive is - and where the substance is that backs up the theory!

Every time they update via proactive (Dec and March) they are talking about long term material value in both on and off shore gas and their 'other' african ventures (Mauritani, Namibia?) alongside Etana.

Whilst they may have some protection in the contract - I suspect there is little stopping ENOG from drawing out the transfer for some time - and therefore - as always with these things - it's about doing a deal. I could be completely wrong btw, but that would get my vote as the rationale for the delay.

~4 weeks ago we were told they would be updating the market 'shortly' on timelines in the proactive video.

They have also told us they have 2 x income streams from Etana moving forward, and G&A in this area is being covered.

A little more waiting.. on a related positive GGE seem to have had a big increase (albeit on a very lowly market cap) on the sheer fact they are acquiring a business that has applied for a licence in a lesser known Namibian basin.

I remain optimistic there is value here

I re-listened to the July 24 webcast. Duncan very clearly says 'licences' in terms of the Namibian exploration - not licence. Namibians must be due to update soon.

Personally I think Anchois is still game on, the question is when and with whom. Unfortantely for now, Char dont control the timing on the comms
