Here's hoping that the financial aspect of the tender process doesn't take too long and that we'll hear a result soon. Be interesting to see if anyone can find any evidence of the timescales of previous tenders in Botswana and how long this part of the process has taken. I've had a quick look but can't find anything but I'm sure someone could find something with a bit more digging.

Olda - That is incorrect, what Lekka has posted is back from 2015.

In the current tender process there is only ourselves and Sekaname, just the two bidders not four.

Could really do with Tony giving an interview following this news to give us some kind of indication of how long he feels the finance part will take and when we can expect the final tender outcome from the Government.

Although I would have expected something in the RNS had a timeframe been indicated to them.

Really hope that isn't the same person who bought at 8:18 and sold at 9:01 otherwise that is a terrible waste of money!

Also great thing about the Benin deal at the moment is that it's an option so if after April we're not that keen for whatever reason then we can cut our losses and leave it there. However, if we do decide to take it up then it's a real positive indication that the guys like what they see and think it has real potential.

Positive RNS today, expanding our portfolio further, however, the part I was particularly excited about as I think most others were was the mention of being close to a number of near-term production deals:

"Indeed, a number of these more mature opportunities are under NDA and nearing advanced stages of due diligence and commercial negotiation"

Hopefully won't be long until we have news of us signing on to some of these.

IG said that they couldn't comment on what other brokers were offering but that they believed that it was not exempt as I did mention others were getting quotes with no SDRT payable. They told me to contact LSE in the end. I still think they just haven't updated their system since the UOG move to AIM.

On a different subject, some big trades going through today.

If it's under £1,000 it will be exempt anyway. Was your buy over £1k levi?

Was it over £1,000 pinayman? And out of interest what broker did you use. IG saying that only certain companies on AIM are exempt

Just checked the other AIM companies I am invested in and 2 out of 4 don't charge SDRT. Not sure if certain companies don't qualify for the exemption even if they are on AIM?

Just noticed that IG are still charging stamp to buy UOG shares. Thought we were exempt from that now we are on AIM?

Agree Levi, I think our biggest problem from this will be the impact on sentiment. Could definitely do with a big piece of good news such as one of these transformational deals we have been hearing about or a farm down on Jamaica.

The aim admission document which you can see from the RNS shows the current holdings above 3 % as of the start of March if that helps.

Now imagine if the combined Colter news was delivered as one RNS which would read that we were initally targeting 18mmbls and we actually found 15mmbls. You have to wonder what the reaction would be to that, considering that oil was discovered rather than nothing, how much had been priced in already, I'd argue not a lot and you'd probably get a positive reaction to that RNS.

This is in effect what has happened and again I will repeat since 1st Feb the below has happened:

We've had CPRs on Crown and Waddock Cross, Selva and an upgraded CPR at Colibri in Jamaica.

We've found 15mmbls rather than 18mmbls at Colter.

We've had a move to the AIM market and a podcast where Brian has stated that this will make the admin easier for "transformational deals". He also mentioned that "Super Majors" were sniffing around Jamaica.

And now since 1st Feb the SP is down about 22-23% - Great buying opp if you have a bit of spare cash!

Just had a look and last time the tender response took 20 weeks and 5 days. Next Monday would mark the same stage since the resubmission has gone in. We must surely be getting close to a response now.

Baffling. After listing to the VOX podcast I'm more confident than ever and it's clear that the market hasn't understood properly what has happened.

We essentially did a drill, had a bonus find of 15mbo and still have the original drill that everyone was waiting on to be done within two weeks. How is this in any way not great news?? Instead of one drill, we now have two and we've already found oil from the first one.

Loved the mention of "Super Majors" on Jamaica and the welcome reminder that I think some have forgotten that those 220mbo at Coilbri are just one of potentially 20 targets there.

Also Brian repeated "We are fully cashed up, we are not planning a placing, we do not need cash".

Not sure, think it was just increased volume due to the price opportunity following what was ultimately good news (outside of any expectations).
