Surely can't be right?!? HL website states 1% currency conversion charge under �5000. What was their reason for it differing from their standard charges?

Contacted IG again just now, very frustrating, just exactly the same update day after day that they are in contact with the Australian registrar but are yet to receive an update on when they will receive the certificates and that they can't provide a timeframe. They just said, "We will get it sorted shortly". Don't understand why they can't get a timeframe from the registrar, that's the most annoying thing, would be much more relaxed if they just said it will definitely be by the 8th June for example. Also frustrating that the spread on IG has gone from 0.20 - 0.19 to 0.195 - 0.16 in the last few days.

Chased IG again and the message is that both IG their custodian are still chasing the Australian registrar but they hope to get it sorted "very shortly" but still would not give a definite timeframe. I also mentioned that H&L, AJ Bell and others have already issued the shares to which they said they are aware and apologised for the delay and said that when they do receive the share then they will be processed immediately and credited to customers accounts.

This is the exact message I received from IG yesterday: "Thanks for your email. As per the conversation on chat I have checked with our concerned team and can confirm that we are actually working on this, at this moment we will not be able to provide any time frame as we are continuously chasing the Australian registrar and looking forward to complete the process at the earliest." Doesn't really help us but at least we know that they are chasing.

Frustrating, will continue to pester IG over the coming days then!

Nope. I contacted IG again yesterday afternoon to be told the same thing as last time being that there has been a delay with the custodian and they are yet to receive the shares. They said they are chasing to try and speed up the process but can't provide a timescale which is slightly frustrating. Is the longstop date of 31st May for shareholders to receive the shares or was it for the takeover itself if there were delays in the process? Good news is that the Newfield shares seem to be recovering nicely, now up to around A$0.20.

Spoke with IG earlier and they said there has been a delay at the broker and that they have not yet received the shares and that there is no timescale on it yet. They said they are chasing to speed up the process but it could be a while longer yet.

Word from IG is that they still haven't received the shares from the broker. They said it should be no longer than 10 working days from date of shares being issued which was 3rd May so should be there by next Wednesday at the latest.

Good to know Blustington, means the holding statements have been received. Who are you trading with?

Also just out of interest, has anyone actually been issued their NWF shares yet?

I'm aware of the option and how it all works within IG I'm just saying that in this particular instance the only option seems to be "limit order - daily" as I am unable to change it. I have set limit orders on other shares for longer periods. May just be that I need to contact IG and they are not allowing directly through the dealing platform.

Yes, at the moment when i click onto NWF the option to change from a daily limit order to a longer time period is greyed out. Do you have your NWF shares with IG? May be because my shares have not been issued yet.

I take your point although I guess my concern is really the amount of time it may take to fill the order through the exchange given the lack of volume. All part of the risk I guess, just me being a bit na�ve coming in. I can only see the ability to set a daily limit order although perhaps IG can sort if I contact them.

Noticed the last couple of days when I've checked early morning whilst the ASX is still open that IG only seem to be offering "on exchange" and no "at quote" prices. This morning the spread on exchange was showing 1.12 - 1.175. I'm just slightly concerned that it may prove difficult to sell the shares on the exchange if you can't sell directly to IG. Anyone else managed to see at quote prices?

Hi Soley, they were awaiting the holding statements which they will get today and I have been told after that it should be fairly quick so fair chance it will be by the end of the week. I don't think they'll give you a definite date because I honestly think that they aren't sure themselves.

IG charge 0.1% commission for ASX trades with the minimum charge being $10 AUS. They also charge 0.3% for currency conversion (they sneakily hide this one away and don't include on the commission charges page. Quote from their website: "Prices are offered in local denominations so you know exactly what you're paying, and our fee to convert to your chosen base currency is just 0.3%." So the charges are comparable really depending on the size of your holding. For example you're looking at a �40 charge for �10k of shares.

Similar story at IG. They have said they are awaiting the holding statements in order to issue the share which I be are being given to them tomorrow so I'd expect to see the share transfer take place by the end of the week. Hopefully the NWF shares will continue to rise during that time.

Ok great, thanks Knicol. Around the levels I was expecting then. Hopefully like I mentioned yesterday, I think the fact that everyone hasn't been issued their NWF shares straight away by their broker will halt the mass sell off on opening and give the share price a chance to recover slightly.

I checked IG at about 6am this morning when in theory the ASX would have been open and NWF should have been trading and it was still showing as suspended at that time. I was expecting somewhere between 0.15 and 0.18 for open, so no real surprise here. There was a reason STEL prices were at the level they were before suspension. Hopefully onwards and upwards from here to get to a decent level before we get issued our NWF shares (whenever that ends up happening!)

Hi Knicol, Interested to know where you are getting live NWF share prices from my IG account is still showing them as suspended at 0.245. Also when I've searched on the asx website it's showing the same thing, not sure if this only updates daily?
