Fingers crossed Jimmy, getting the advertising in the F1 series of games would be a real great step especially as similar to football manager you've got a guaranteed new release every year with a customer base that will buy the game every time. Add to that the growing eSports scene where the F1 series of games is one where there are competitions with more sets of eyes to see the ads and it would be a great step in the right direction.

As far as we know we only have exclusive agreements for GRID and Dirt Rally but as Bobby says given our relationship with Codemasters if they find it works well in these titles you would assume that Bids would be the first choice to offer ads in Project Cars. Getting ads into F1 series may be problematic as I imagine it's a similar thing to FIFA whereby adspace is given as part of the licensing deals to get real tracks, manufacturer and driver likenesses etc.

Thebig - There are already adverts there but they are not being offered programmatically for brands to buy. There are trackside ads in nearly every racing game you can think of, Gran Turismo for example but they will display they are static and will display the same company name forever and will be companys linked with the game or tracks etc.

Going on from my last post, just had a quick look through some of the brand names that are clients of the Dentsu group agencies and can spot a lot of the companies that were shown in the twitch link that MGXYZ posted. So it does look as though there's a very high possibility that this was a test run and that these are the kind of brands we could be seeing when it goes live with Dentsu.

Thanks MGXYZ, have watched this previously (flicking through it) and it looks great, and like you say shows the potential but every stream of the game I have watched have not been like this at all. So perhaps like you say it was a test (maybe with Dentsu?? that hasn't yet gone live but shows what we could be looking forward to). I hope this is correct. I guarantee if you go on twitch right now and flick through every FM20 stream you will not see anything like the in your link, I've been back and forth checking for a good few weeks now and have only ever seen the ads I mentioned.

Perhaps we are still testing with Dentsu and we await an RNS about it going live and then maybe the ads will look like your link with companies like Sure, AIA, Black and Decker etc getting involved.

JBL - Ad looks great, not connected to Man Utd in any way. Ad is also product specific and looks like it will click through to buy product on the website.

Coca Cola - Very exciting as not connected to either club and hopefully they will continue to advertise in the game and entice other brands to #getinthegame.

Nike, Pirelli and Suning - Similar thing to what I posted about Fiorentina. Game is being played with Inter Milan at home in their stadium. Nike are Inter Milan kit manufacturers, Pirelli are the kit sponsors and Suning are a chinese company who actually own a majority stake in Inter Milan. Therefore on these ones I'm not sure again if it's a licensing thing to get Inter Milan in the game or if Bids are benefitting from the ads.

The RNS on the extension says that Bidstack has exclusive rights to deliver native in-game ads so hopefully that includes these partner ads as well and I shouldn't be worried.

Thanks Thebig, what would be useful to know (almost impossible now with just a list) is how many of these are akin to the Fiorentina ones where they are the partners of the club or the league for example I know Fun88 are definitely sponsors of Newcastle United. Therefore was this ad seen at a game played at St James Park (potentially then a licensing deal) or elsewhere (more likely delivered by Bidstack).

I really wish that Bidstack would update their website with the list of brands they have worked with, it had been saying you can see them in our gallery coming soon for as long as I can remember. I understand they probably have much more important things to be getting on with but would be a bit of reassurance.

I know I brought this up a couple of weeks back but still interested to know what brands ads people might have seen within football manager 2020 or GRID?

I spent part of last night watching Twitch streams of football manager. In the matches with British clubs I only ever saw ads for War Child, Special Effect, Movember, Kick out Out (anti-racism campaign) and football manager itself. If they were in the conference then you would see ads for Vanarama (league sponsor). In the championship you will see ads for skybet (league sponsor) and screwfix.

I then watched someone playing with Fiorentina at their home stadium. I got excited because I saw ads for VAR Group, Le Coq Sportif, Prima auto insurance, Nestra & Linkem (Italian brands). However, when I went onto Fiorentina's website I saw all of these companies were listed as official partners of Fiorentina and I expect much like the Fifa model these ads are part of securing the licensing of the clubs rather than programmatic ads being delivered by Bidstack.

I must admit that for me ad fill rates are my main concern and I wish that I was seeing more varied brands appearing that I could tell were definitely being delivered through the Bidstack SDK.

Can anyone (hopefully people with the games) share ads that they have seen that are not partners of the football clubs or leagues themselves?

Never really understood why people take TW's opinion on things at a greater value than other individuals. That's what it is at the end of the day, one individual giving their own opinion, just as I am giving mine.

I'd say do your own research and make up your own mind rather than blindly follow someone's advice.

Afterall if you sold Boohoo when TW was saying "sell today!" you would have now missed out on the opportunity to be sitting on 10x your money.

Yep, apparently the database they have on all player stats is staggering. They send scouts out to clubs all over the world to put together the stats on them, watching them in training and matches.

There's an interesting documentary called "An Alternative Reality: The Football Manager Documentary" that's actually quite an interesting watch. There's a bit in there where Alex Mccleish's son had been playing the game and promoted Lionel Messi up to his first team from the youth academy on the game and he was banging in the goals. He told his dad about it whilst he was managing Rangers and said he had to contact Barcelona about him. He kept going on about him so much that in the end Mccleish did actually contact Barcelona about signing him and was told in no uncertain terms that he was definitely not for sale!

I'm sure there are many more stories like this one and quite a few players who will have been signed on the strength of the FM database.
