NSV/Adoman, I'd tend to agree with that take on it but it does set a dangerous precedent. You are either liable or your not. What happens when the the next tax liability is conjured up?

NSV, I agree higher end of guidance would be a pleasant change - not so sure about an update on the tax dispute. The first hearing is down for October (I think) though they say there are ongoing discussions with Revenue/Govt to try and reach an a mutually agreeable outcome. That sounds rather strange if they are as confident as they make out that no liability exists??

NSV, production guidance at the beginning of the year would have taken in the reduced production from Jubilee (installing the infrastructure for new wells) and increased production for the second half of the year due to new wells. Therefore no expectation of change to guidance - maintaining guidance would be a positive based on previous years.

Trading/Operations update in July which should be positive. Don't forget Tlw made 49mln net profit in 2022 after a once-off write down of 391mln for Ten fields.

Points well made - clearly the PI has a major deficit when it comes to market info and so it is skewed to insiders but sometimes we get to "ride on the coat tails" due to luck as much as anything else. Personally I prefer the sharp end high risk and hopefully high returns. Go in eyes wide open...................

One of the questions was "what did the company spend the money on that it it got from rights issue 2 years ago?". Don't think I'd be basing investment decisions on somebody with such hallucinatory tendencies.................. Anton, If its worth 1.8bln - why have AOI/Total walked away from 450mln? What strategy are they adopting to give that to Tlw???

What? So AOI has become a charitable organisation - that explains it then.

At what point did AOI/Total become charitable organisations and why didn't they issue an RNS when it happened. If there was any chance of them getting a share of 1.8bln they would still have their stakes. No capex for at least 18 months so there is no % for them to give up their stake for nothing at this point. The fact is Kenya is worth nothing and thankfully Tlw SP seems to have been discounted already to reflect this.

Rahul has never been committed to Guyana and has tried to farm down the 60% stake for a couple of years now. If there is a good possibility still of getting strategic partner, there maybe more value in the 100 % stake in Kenya. Anyway, as I said just wild speculation on my part and my track record isn't great.
