Just for clarity - the JSE "upfront costs" is capex and will be amortised over the likely period of increased production which will hopefully be many years. Repayment of debt (200mln) does not come off the bottom line at all. It is a use of funds usually generated by profit.

Name of broker?? So Tlw after many years of much higher debt, will have to raise money to service in 2024 just when production will increase by 50% and forecast for oil is 90-100$. If this is genuine they clearly have an agenda - maybe Happyinvestor works there, he was always going on about a rights issue :)

I do think there is still a chance of a cash raise which is the only slight negative in the recovery story. Alfonso referred to reversing the negative cashflow of H1 through a combination of unwinding working capital from legacy contracts AND advance payments from new contracts. There is uncertainty around the legacy contracts and any advance payments will have associated costs at some point - timing is everything. It does seem current trading (leaving aside legacy contracts) is not generating positive cashflow.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Eco farm down a substantial % to Total/Qatar partners. They clearly have somebody lined up given their size.

IF there was to be a commercial find in Guyana, it is probably 5-7 years away from any decent positive cashflow. Along with that is the upfront capex for appraisal and development which just doesn't make sense for Tlw and its financial position. I think it has huge exploratory potential but lets stick with the strategy of infrastructure led exploration with early positive cashflow.

The coupon on the bonds are fixed at approx 10%. It doesn't matter if interest rates went to 20%, it wouldn't affect the present Tlw finance costs. In two years time when we go to refinance however, that is where current interest rates would have a negative affect.

I'd like to see 1.50 before you unzip your trousers (just to make sure you don't :))
