Lets hope for a fast climb up tomorrow. Dow futures up over 400 points and Commodities up early morning too. If the Far Eastern markets support the view that trade and consumption especially in China is to benefit, then we should benefit overnight and be ready for tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed for a return to form.

Karv1 agree with you that I am not sure people will want to vote for a no deal now most realise we could well be worse off. It was a shame we did not have this information when the vote was originally put out for referendum.

However I may be bold to say that we could see a rise tomorrow on the back of trade picking up between the two largest economies in the World and already the futures on the Dow are up over 400 points. This sentiment should help Barclays who account half of their earnings in dollars.

Dow Futures and also commodities seriously up at the moment. Silver up 1% early morning and so let us hope the trend continues overnight for the commodities to help the miners such as Hochschild in the morning. If trade picks up then we should benefit from this.

Glencore could benefit from the G20 announcement of the Trade war ceasefire and already I can see tonight the Dow futures are up over 400 points and the commodity futures are starting to rise, with oil prices well up too on potential future demand..

Let us hope the far Eastern market overnight keeps the momentum going, and we could all benefit Monday morning.

Let us hope the rally can continue overnight into the far eastern markets following the ceasefire agreed between the US and China at the weekends G20. If trade demand increases production then we may start a commodities rally helping Acacia.

We should benefit from the USA / CHINA Tariff suspension agreed at the G20 (announced today on Bloomberg) as this will help commodities being traded (even if in the short term).

I see the problem being interest rates for the like of Barrett, but the likes of Telford who build in London they now build either for foreigners or they are even renting non sold apartments. To the Chinese as a Capital City in Europe we are very cheap. They are buying in big time. However if sterling comes back up they will sell and the market could stagnate especially for our domestic market if rates go up (which they will in time).

Agree BB this is the place to be at the moment. More upside than down and for the past three months the news gives us a more than fair chance of success whether we are taken over (which is the highest probability) or not. Sorry all shorters tremendous ground breaking announcement on bbc news. Car charging facilities being laid on at Marstons Pubs, motels etc, very clever to get people in for a few hours. Lets now see what the market sees but I feel this will be a plus or rather excuse the pun "very positive news" for extra customers.

I hold most of the precious metal miners on the FTSE to be honest but have not ventured out of the UK markets. HSBC wanted me to become a day trader which would have allowed me to have done so but I feel it wise not to always agree with their/or any banks recommendations and always think it out for myself.
Yes my Dad remembers the great fire at the Palace and he used to live close to the Park and even has some glass that exploded into the family house Garden. I am sure once Brexit is over the Housebuilders will recover but now is not the time to buy them. The Wrighty / Brighty days were great, but apart from them the best player I saw there was probably Gazza in his Tottenham days, and even Mick Channon when he was at Southampton, George Best was not ever at his best at Palace. Don Rogers was a star for Palace too.
I enjoy watching on the TV Australian Gold hunters but do not hold any shares in any pure exploration Comps, but do feel we are lucky with Acacia having some many interests outside of Tanzania which will prop up the buyout price and balance sheet, who knows they might even be able to pay shareholders a divi?

Article refers interestingly to the exploration expertise of Acacia and where in one of their other African Countries where they have interests "Burkina Faso" they have an area of over 2,000 km2, with various additional earn in agreements in place, and so as I said before all of this/are additional assets for the benefit of the balance sheet and which are increasing the value of this Company, whether they are bought out or not. .

Owlsey, just humour them and rise above them I found in the City there were lots of wind up merchants in life. Generally I found if they had the time for that sort of tactics, then they are not doing their job properly. That is probably why I was able to retire from London 17 years early and they still need to work, as most had either divorced or their work had been found out.
Carney did not help house builders today but Barrett will have support for a while from the institutions as it pays a very good divi, but even they will not stay in it for ever if they believe Brexit will be hard. Timing to buy and sell is always the key, and if I was into the House builders at the moment (which I am not) I would like the look of Telford Homes for the record. That could be one to watch for the future if more certainty returns to the House Market following the closure of the Brexit vote. I have learn't sometimes you just have to wait longer for a share price to recover but as I have said before I try never to sell at a loss. Aca is coming back nicely for me (you have made a profit) but many here are still at a loss. So some you win, and some you will lose. Good luck.
