Not surprised by this move what with everything going on with World events as they are.

If you look at the other share on the Ftse 250 most all fallling (apart from Acacia which is holding out as strong) infact when I looked a few minutes ago Gold in sterling is up!
Thomas Cook is now over 14% down, and spiked up the other day when one of their Directors bought a large quantity of shares but I bet he regrets it today?
Still lots of uncertainty out there -good place to be here to be honest. At this rate we will be in the Top 100, only joking n the last comment but you never know!!

Looks like we will have official confirmation we are in the index later a close, however this web site has worked out we will be in.

Dimi-yes moving up Acacia should benefit now on goldprice org up 1.41% (unsurprisingly) for the past 30days, 0.88% for the past 5 years and 281% fir the past 16 years.

We therefore have a long way to go upwards and I feel we are still just coming off the bottom.

Well as the UK time rolled after mid-night the 5 year Gold price was up 0.64%, which is now the official record rate for the day being 4th December, and this now shows us the trend upwards and the concerns over the current World events.

If anyone has any doubts over the Gold price trend, this should now give us confidence as Wednesday starts trading first in the Far East and is good news for any Gold miner.

BB - Interestingly on Goldprice.org the Gold price is now only showing to be down 1.05% over the past five years with the price tonight currently showing 1.55% up and so if this price holds past mid night tomorrow will show an increase of 0.5% being an increase on the five year. I won't write a Dear Santa letter to him but thanks to Mr Trump. Ho,ho,ho tariff ho,ho.

A very pleasant early Christmas pressy for the 24th BB.

Hopefully we can now push on when back on the Fund Managers recommended FTSE and tracker growth list. .

Looks like one or two analysts are saying the US growth curve has turned inverted and therefore inflation could turn negative. I see this therefore as a sign the Fed is less likely to raise rates as projected in December and even if they do less rises next year, which again will help Gold and Acacia.

Again another very good economic sign for us.

Awaiting for MW to act- will they buy in to close off or sell to try and push down?

I'm looking to see with interest if they step in to sell during opening hours as I have thought for some time once in the FTSE 250 we should get a steady stream of funds from Pensions and trackers, etc. Also new member should attract the interest of the growth Managers. Gold spiking further higher now so hopefully with support from over the Pond we should be there at close.

Really surprised this share is not moving up further for those wanting a Divi income. i.e. .20.30p ex-divi on 6th December.

Or for those seeking a good share to buy full of Christmas cheers, or rather cheers to those who enjoy the light refreshment given by Britvic!!!!

I really do not understand why this stock is not now rising - as it was always seen as a safety stock!!!!
ie. I know some youngun's who will even go without treats to use their phone.

BB- I do not think society will suffer as a result of Gold prices However it is seen as a hedge to actually help govts. offset against a currency and trade in Gold to buy and sell other currencies. It is also seen as a hedge by investment fund Managers against inflation. We currently have low interest rates and low inflation. I feel Gold will rise as a hedge against inflation. It needs to as over the last 5 years it is still down 1%. This shows a lack of growth and inflation in the economy. We need more to be honest. The govt. needs to bring in quickly trade deals with other countries and continents. I know the Japanese and Pacific trade organisations are ready. I feel China and the US are too. We also have the Commonwealth Countries to come in further and a cheap pound will help our exports.

Now the Brexit remain'rs have found by legal opinion they can simply reject Brexit to stay in the Euro Zone, as Labour looks towards putting a no confidence vote in the Uk Govt. While Carney the BOE Gov. states food prices after Brexit will rise at least 10%. This will bring inflation. Absolute Chaos which will help Gold as a hedge.
Hoping we will get to 190 today but if we can hold at these prices we will be in the top 250 -BB.

Gold appears to be spiking up fast and so a very good place to be in this share.

BB-I did buy TC before and do well but I needed to wait years for the recovery. The share real gains will be when the price is down even further say 9p or less, and therefore it will be after the Brexit vote if the situation is clearer. i.e. Also lots against it currently being :- warmer UK summer weather, political unrest, Higher Fuel costs, and the value of the pound together with High St blues, and changes in the way people book. Too .much against it this time, and where'as before I was confident it would not fail, after what has happened in the High st's I a not so sure this time..

It looks like the G20 dinner has brought about some positive trade sentiment and as hoped this has given the commodities and precious metals market some stronger prices. This has now also helped the miners and we now also hope the NYSE continues the theme to keep the momentum. At last there is more than one reason to hold this share, and as Acacia have large stocks of composites holding Gold dust they will / should benefit more than most with a rising Gold price. .

set to increase together with the resultant consumption, and we still have the prospect of production cuts being forecast by Opec to help us in the future.
