As I thought a Dovish tone from Fed and fears from Carney of hard Brexit both help us here.

Silver already up 2% very good news for Hoch, (Yes BB - I am a fan) plus Gold now rising fast currently jumping up 0.83% good for Acacia, etc.

If this continues overnight as you say a good place to be in this share at the moment to be honest.

Carney is talking about a massive drop in sterling with a disorderly Brexit -project fear, perhaps up to 25% this will help precious metals.
Now lets see if the prices start moving up !!!

I see it like this. If there is uncertainty the Gold will maintain its safe haven status. However it will also benefit if the Fed issues a dovish tone, as we know the commodity is also looked upon as an alternative currency. If Powell does not put up the price or provide a rate increase in December I feel the Gold price will rocket.

For the G20 meeting which we can view over the weekend -if any deal between China and the Usa is agreed) I feel the commodity prices (including Gold) will increase, partly due to the fact that it is one of the best electrical conductors known to man and is actually used in manufacturing which will increase its demand and the by product being copper (which is also mined separately).

For the time being as I have said before we do have on balance a brighter future than we did a year or two before, and this is a good share to hold in the current political climate, where events can change by the day. The bank balance is further helped by additional income from sources outside of Tanzania. -Happy days all round.

Release today shows the workings out of Tanzania and earnings for the exploration I have detailed before. As I have said this is not a one trick pony and offers an opportunity/ for expansion / future earnings outside of Tanzania.

This could make things interesting with La Mancha now seeking African Barrick Gold interests in East Africa, which I assume is Acacia previously known by the same name, see link :-

Just looked at the Gold prices for today and they are just starting to move upwards in our favour. No doubt due to all of the uncertainty.
Mr T has not helped the UK govt.either with his comments, and he/USA were supposed to be our closest friends? If this won't fuel higher Gold prices I am not sure what will?
We also (later this week) will need to consider Mr Powell's comments, (re. the Fed's minutes), and if it is felt the US interest rate will rise, an if he is felt to be dovish rather than hawkish the Gold price will fly.

Looks like the Gold/Silver price is up overnight , together with the both the Nikkei and Hang Seng index's.

Hi P. - I see Fresnillo suffered a broker downgrade on Thursday from Morgan Stanley, plus Mexico is giving miners less access being for the most likely reason. Morning star provided some insight if you look them up.

However for tonight so far the Gold/silver prices are moving for us in the right direction. Far Eastern markets might provide a key for us overnight which could help us at the open.

Just read that Russia has taken Ukraine naval ships as tensions rise?

Gold price org also shows rising Gold and Silver prices tonight. Perhaps the far east will buy overnight?

It would appear as if Parliament is notr entirely happy with the Brexit compromise news?

STB - No one knows you have to research so many perimeters, and then hope and pray for some luck. I think as we said before you will have to take your time and read all of the chat on this site, the Acacia notices, the local news papers, mining news/weekly, investing is hard work if you are serious, and I am sure no one here really wants to go over all old ground again as we too are busy reading up on this and other Companies Best of luck STB. Next week is going to be interesting. I am sure we have not seen the last of the Uk Brexit debate -uncertainty. In fact those that object are going to have to come further forward before for them it is too late.
I read on Bloomberg today that Wall St. are now concerned about the raising of interest rates and the threat of recession -again uncertainty.
Various important meetings are taking place around the World and so Gold could benefit whilst the markets sorts out a direction (if any). For us behind the scenes the Randgold guys are chomping at the bit and ready to bring on some progress with the Tans issue.
The fact we have not heard anything from Acacia themselves must mean they do not want to upset the apple cart with the events going on.

STB - My view is as you will will already know by now all shares carry a risk. This share is high risk. However it will also we hope brings high returns. I could see you are/have been invested in the energy sector and this market is suffering from over production, but sooner or later OPEC is going to cut production and/or something else will happen to send the retail prices back up. I have found if you wait long enough the prices will come back.
For us here on Aca we hope and pray the recovery continues and many of us have waited a long time for this to happen. We are not out of the woods yet but can see more positives than negatives, your call. However I would not sell any of my energy shares at a loss but as you will be aware it pays to spread risk. As BB says the best thing is to conduct your own research and build up your own view. i.e. Don't listen to anyone but your own consciousness. Most shares like the market is cyclical- but as Warren Buffet said the only thing he cannot buy is time.(unfortunately) and do not just rely on one source of income! .

Just wondering if Bristow wants to bring the others in to form a cooperative smelter? I'm not sure how much they cost but surely it would be a cost that is tax deductible and therefore cost nothing? I am not sure we need the Aga version when we could simply make do with a Neff version? Yes I did say Neff- As all we need is one that is reliable and one to get us up and running.

What a great idea BB this article which goes to show how our friend Mr Bristow looks as things in a different light to get a deal sorted. I can now see how he has such a great reputation fo being a deal maker and sorting out problems where others have feared to tread. With this philosophy we can now see he will soon get to the bottom of all of this.

I was also thinking what someone said about a year ago and that was the gold value in the composites was approx. Usd300m and so that movement might be solution, together and collectively with the purchase of a smelter will enable the true value of the "hidden" gold be found in the soil being held.

Very low volumes here today -everyone waiting in the wings. (No pun intended Easyjet), but we have had a very good month gaining 43p. So I am happy with developments so far.

BB-I know the Chinese and Japanese buy gold overnight but what with the Dow trend appearing to be down and what with the price of oil falling down too, I see the trend for the price of Gold to be up during the day too. Everyone is currently watching the Dow and the dollar, which lets face it has done better than most over the past couple of years. However soon the US fund managers may come out of their cash positions into the Footse especially if as I said earlier the Trexit (Teressa May Brexit goes through) so we could have a win, win here to be honest.

I think also what with all the goings on with Mr T and his trade wars without any conclusion the dollar itself is starting to lose its shine, which may mean more investing in the safer havens, or shares such as the precious metal miners?

I think for us today a lot depends on the outside barometers rather than this share itself, I hope Gold finishes slightly up with Acacia following the fashion on Black friday. . .

If a trade deal is agreed between the USA and China will Gold as a commodity rise - Yes. (which will help us here).
If Acacia s/p holds for another week (or two) will its FTSE 250 share price rise on fund manager interest - Yes.
Is it likely given its total Gold reserves that Barrick will buy out the remaining shares not held - Yes
Downsides - Deal not done with Govt. - but for the time being Acacia is now making profit again from new nuggets Barrick is not interested in buying - then the price is unaffected as Acacia is making money and benefits from the FTSE for the reasons listed above. Someone else may be interested Chinese or Ashanti?
Arbitration-,Most likely one funded by Insurers who will employ the best lawyers in the World to sort.
As I say in general more upside than down and hence the shorter's reducing all of their stakes bar one small holding now a lot less than one per cent.
The situation in my mind has been completely over rated and I have in my time seen far worse situations recover.
However I understand those with concerns may wish to go into something less risky. If the G.O.T will not agree to a deal with Barrick soon I see Acacia go to court as they will want their Staff released in fact they are under a duty to do so. I feel the G.O.T. have been trying to push for a deal and we now know why it did not get pushed through with RW leaving but if I was the G.O.T. I would be fearful of going up against the Insurers lawyers who generally are the best in the World and very experienced in these matters. Perhaps they have even advised Barrick that they do not need RW anymore. The Insurance lawyers will have helped be behind Randgold's African negotiations too.

Franky these disputes are always sorted but it can take a couple of years. However most I experienced when dealing from the Insurance Policy side were settled after a change of govt, or in an Int Arbitration. Bulldozers can break down as well. However this situation we have here is slightly different in that Acacia have already said they are prepared to go to arbitration and so the Govt will not push any harder as they have more to lose than gain. For Acacia they and I am happier now that we are producing free cash with the nuggets and so we are not now under pressure to settle quickly I can/will wait. Soon we will be within the FTSE250 and so fund managers will see this as an opportunity and so I am sticking with this one for the long term. We respect the fact you sound like you want to sell and so I wish you all the best with that. I have a feeling we will all still remain very positive so good luck. They are plenty of other shares to invest in especially if the Brexit deal does actually get approved.

Thanks Acaciatan -yes this share has kept the old grey matter working and it looks like soon the transplant will pay off. A good friend of mine I spoke to the other day who works for possibly the largest Fund Manager in the business said they were only investing in the top FTSE index's for the UK whilst we have Brexit uncertainty. He will not be the only Fund Manager to look at the Uk share market like this. I also take note of Bloomberg everyday and it would appear the large American fund managers have also avoided the UK, but will come back big time once the Brexit issue is behind us all. So if we can be in the top 250 index our timing could not have been any better to "supercharge" our share price!!!! -Happy days & for the deal - Just hope also those poor devils get out of jail. .
