Report from Bloomberg just before we broke through 1400oz below. It looks as if I was right our far eastern friends are coming on for Gold strong. I can see the value of Acacia now rising very fast as the Chinese must be interested with buying in here. That is the way they conduct their business when a raw material is in demand they go after the producer, and make it their own. They are very clever people to be honest..

Our Eastern friends must be buying in early this morning. ie. It is not worth them buying Dollars anymore. That is going to be worth a lot less if the Fed rate cut is coming.

I attended a funeral today at Elmers end. I realise life is too short and there is more to life than sharedealing. I don't look at all of my shares on the basis I have to sell to profit. Last tax year my biggest problem was what shares do I sell at a loss, because I had made too much money on other shares. We are all different I suppose. I would suggest use your disappointment to learn and be more determined to work your money in a way that will not leave you disappointed. I don't hold any grudges I live by my own mistakes, and also live by my success. That's life I suppose. Don't let share dealing make you ill, forget what you could have done if it upsets you, think if what you have done well, life is too short, enjoy it will you can.

Dimi you are right if the Gold price keeps going up new investors will come in here, Where else can they go for a FTSE Gold miner afterall Randgold have gone,. I also own HOC and CEY so I am a Happy bunny!!

ACA up 4% at close a good start, and what we need is a good positive statement from the ACA BOD which I understand is on its way.

Reports are out their the Iranians have shot down a Saudi Missile, probably in retaliation for the attacks on the Saudi tankers and onshore oil field (advised yesterday?).
Also the Fed analysts are saying a rate cut looks more than likely now in July based on an inflation rate the USD cannot get rising. Higher Gold might be here for a while.

We now could do with a release showing the continuing increased production and with the increased values of Gold the increased Gold income figures. Hopefully I see that £2 coin and a reasonable £5.72 buy back from Acacia for the future goodwill, for the amounts held in the containers, for future exploration, for expansion into the other African Countries, etc, etc!!

This will make us even dearer for Barrick and certainly their offer of an exchange will mean their shares rated in USD are worthless, so I should have said worth less. (you all know what I mean).

Talk of rates in the Uk going up post Brexit??? Would make sterling worth even more.

Timing is all important and Barrick have missed the Bus, let's face it bulldozers are good at knocking down, but not very fast or maneuverable. We have big Gold in the containers according to the GOT and perhaps we should use the Govt values as to what that is worth, that is the fine paid for (under the deal) on what's held in the containers alone, going forward the new prices will attract other buyers such as our Chinese (take away from Barrick) friends, and the price of Gold is rising fast, being fueled by an all manor our sources, i.e. the Fed suggesting a rate reduction, hostilities in the Gulf, and more and more Countries investing in Gold rather than the out of favour Usd. Happy days chaps, I see a positive announcement coming from Acacia in the next couple of days to lift us over £2. Hold'em shares, or top up as BB has done!!

The Acacia BOD as you say Parf very much support our views on this board and are 100% behind their shareholders and will be representing our interests. I also understand they are working on a full detailed response to all of the bad press being sent out here, and to what Barrick have been saying, and we should see something from the Acacia BOD in the next day or two. I am very confident if we do not lower ourselves to the bar room tactics of others we will do very well here. At this rate I can see some bad faith claims coming out in our favour should this bad press continue. I think in the same way that MB says the GOT with not talk with Acacia, we should not talk with him and should revert to the agreement we had with JT.

If Barrick rate us so low then lets just get funding and buy out their share.

Acacia can then continue with their 5 year plan. The GOT will then talk to us or through an independent intermediary and/ or our new Chinese Partners. Barrick are not the only game in town. I do not want to deal with them with this attitude either. I am sure the new elected BOD of Acacia would do a fine job in Tanzania and elsewhere given the chance.

If so I suspect the Gold price will rise up again and this will help the values hereon.

Recent release is showing J.P Morgan Corporate adviser to Acacia increasing their purchases and stake building. I suppose we can make the most of the bad press to buy more too.

Yes I can see they are trying to throw everything at Acacia to get the price down, i.e. support from the GOT and then by not talking with us, bad press is out, and statements to suggest a fair price is a low price, all stinks to me of someone trying to buy more shares. I think publically they are showing their hands to desperately want Acacia now. If we are that bad why ask for an extension. After being so negative they are employing their advisers to buy as many shares as they can. We are not stupid we can see through all this. As Acacia have said "we advise all shareholders to hold their shares"

I can see Acacia have just issued a statement referring to the Barrick's statements and disagree with the turn of events, and then issued more recent statements with "strongly disagree" referring to the timing of the releases just after the extension was agreed, and it appears the terms of the extension were not as publicly stated by Barrick. The terms issued yesterday indicated the extension was what I felt read "increase their offer to engage and talk with minority shareholders" but now they are trying to say that was not the case? Clearly they are difficult to deal with as this is going hostile. I feel to get a better price we will need to as well. It is interesting the timing of leaks to the press regarding the Police actions in Tanzania. If the Police report to the govt. how can Acacia be held responsible, they are obviously there to just protect the mines, stop theft and help with any safety issues. I wonder who is feeding the "fake news?" I cannot see how Acacia are responsible for the actions of individual Policeman who will report to the local Mayor or GOT. -Barrick need to stump up and shut up? in my opinion. I thought they were better than this to be honest.

I wonder if Barrick's so called experts also took into account the total value of the Gold including the values of that in the storage containers (as I can see they have come along with ridiculously low average Gold prices and certainly not todays price which has risen over the past month by 7% in Usd in the last 6 months, and 8% in GBP) Gold in GBP is now up over 10% over the past year. If the containers held values of Usd265m last year then today that will be almost what they need for the Usd300m deal with the GOT alone. Good timing on Barrick's part as after Brexit sterling might rise and the value of Acacia will go up even more. Maybe they are also playing the currency game after all.

In the Barrick press release did anyone see anything about the licenses held outside of Tanzania, of the new drilling to start in Kenya, Mali and Burkina Faso??? They do not fool anyone.

The recent Acacia Year end report only refers to improving relationship, we are continuing to engage in talks with the GOT. The whole climate has only changed in the last couple of weeks by Barrick releases at the same time as they are wanting to buy the remaining shares, (unless we have not been told the truth). It is like when you buy a used car they are looking for faults to get us on the cheap. We are not stupid and we have certain rules and laws on our side.

Just wondering if there was any underlying reason for us being floated off by Barrick? Was it because the political situation was becoming difficult to manage? Were they aware of any undercurrents at that time? Did the share price of £5.75 appear fair to them at the time?
Also why the shareholder year end reports sent out from Acacia refer to improving relations with the GOT and support and sponsorship to work with government sponsored local projects and local communities, support to local education, infrastructure and freshwater/Drainage projects? This does not sound to me to be a Company that is not wanted? Funnily enough would the bad press have been issued since JT gave up the discussions? The bad press seems to be coincidentally very recent, perhaps in the last couple of weeks?
