According to various news sources India is to end its vaccine export ban next month.

There do not appear to be any details at the moment but this does appear to validate the RNS of 25 August 2021. Hard to quantify without more details but this has to be very good news for BXP.

I have been trying to find reasons not to invest more here but I am struggling.

I have just noticed that the vice chairman of BXP is also the Bangladeshi prime minster's industry advisor and has just been sent to Saudi Arabi to conclude a trade deal for the Country so is clearly operating at the highest level of government. The ruling party in Bangladesh obtained 75% of the vote in their last election in 2018 so being close to the current ruling party doesn't seem likely to count against anytime soon. With the Sanofi purchase they are now also directly in business with the government and so it is hard to imagine a more secure company from a political point of view.

You must be right Winnings; down to 48% ish equivalent value again. This surely represents a truly excellent opportunity.

Small dip over in Bangladesh today but nothing significant given the recent rise.

I am just hoping the differential narrows by a GDR increase rather than a drop in the Dhaka price which has already stormed up to an all time high recently on apparently nothing but sentiment.

Sadly short lived correction. Down 2% here, up 2% there so pretty much back where we were. But I suppose at least something finally moved the priced.

On the up again over in Bangladesh; the GDR now under 50% of the parent share price. There must be an explanation.

The GDR price reached a high of 107p in January when the parent share price was an equivalent of 168p which was around 63%. If we had kept that level of equivalence we would have a price of around 112p today not 86.5p!

Hi Winnings; I thought something was going to happen with the rise in price and volume last week but now I am more inclined to go with Realraster's view that this is just moving with the local market.

Will this pick up in interest in Bangladesh translate to any change here ? Seems unlikely to me given the recent track record but you never know.

This is still £1.70 equivalent price in Bangladesh but no sign of any action over here. The Taka also seems to be at a near 5 year low against the pound so there seems lower risk on the currency side.

The mystery continues. I emailed the companies nominated broker on this issue but no response.

Does anyone know of a good source of information on both the current price of Helium and predictions of future prices ?

I have seen the Edison Group update from May 2021 but wondered if anyone had anything else.

My concern is that HE1's house broker Hamman & Partners gave a 25p p/s risked valuation in their most recent note of 11 August 2021 but this was predicated on a helium price of $250 /mcf. A handy little chart in their note shows where their prediction would be at different Helium prices and predicted price declines. I may well be wrong but the Edison Group note seems a little less bullish on the Helium price.

‘In excess of 7billion’ - does that equate to in excess of £3 a share ? Is there confusion with the Morrison’s bid here as clearly a successful Sainsbury’s bid would have to exceed that level.

That broker puts a lot more value on the cancer side which is interesting given the very low share price prior to the covid RNS. Perhaps we can say that the covid test news raised awareness of the company and their other assets. Come for the covid and stay for the cancer.

It seems the two key assets here are currently the Covid tests and cancer treatment platform. What are people’s thoughts on relative contributions to the share price of each ?

In early April 2020, before the covid test rns, the share price was 20p. Excitement on the tests seems to have died down, despite progress, and we are at around 105. During this time there seems to have been good progress on the cancer side. So, where are we now? 50:50?

Just a general update on the vaccine position in the domestic market. It is possible that BXP's involvement in the covid vaccine programme will only really kick in when the Indian government drops their export ban which could well be some time.

Just out of interest really could anyone explain why the accepted offer includes a small dividend element rather than being all cash ? Is there some significant reason or rationale for this ?

The market cap discrepancy seems to simply reflect the share price / gdr price discrepancy and I’d guess neither is correct.

In the Uk people are multiplying the total shares by the uk price. Wrong as only 20% or so of shares are traded here in the form of gdr’s. In Bangladesh the calculation will be based on their exchange price which is again wrong as they have only 80%.

The shares linked to the uk gdr’s are not tradable on their exchange so I think the correct market cap calc should be (uk no. X uk price) + (Bangladesh no. X Bangladesh price). We will ignore a minor discrepancy as the price of the shares on the two different Bangladesh exchanges is slightly different !
