My take would be that they don’t need to raise funds to operate (as exploration companies do) but they will need to raise to fund large expansion projects like doubling the Kenyan mine processing capacity or for a new Tanzanian operation. This means any raise should have a directly positive impact on company value and so any dilution will be offset.

There is very limited risk of repeated raises being frittered away with nothing to show for it as many junior resource companies seem to manage.

N.b. The boss has a large, and increasing, shareholding and so is totally aligned on shareholder value and is not just chasing vanity mcap dreams using our money or happy to just sit back and draw a fat salary.

What did you make of the answer to the reefs licence questions ? Seemed to suggest the key licence already rests with the vendor.

On a similar theme; why carry out exploration work on parts of the Kenyan exploration licence which have been removed ?

This is a Kenyan gold miner and explorer and NNN are, I think, a Nottinghamshire based scientific research company. Or is it simply both are companies with a share price which has gone up and then down ?

I'd hope we'd have the Q1 update by next Monday; that would accord with the timings for the Q3 update. I think the Q4 might have been a little slower due to the holidays.

It is rather hard to predict the release of the assay results as the only company guidance I have seen was Q1 but maybe/hopefully we will get something this week before the interview which is planned on Thursday ?

You have chosen to use the Kenyan resource numbers for gcat (including the disputed licence area) but not the Tanzanian resource. I think Align, who opted for a Shanta based comparison valuation, included the acquisition resource as well and based their comparison on resource not production. Any thoughts on that ? The company only give the Kenyan resource at the moment in RNS and so it seems the more reasonable approach.

Whatever his past record he does not appear to be in a direct decision making position any longer and it seems most people see that as a positive. We can all relax now and see how he gets on with his two new ventures (I think I remember he was also tweeting about an African copper venture as well).

Robbie 'the Mensch' McCrea appears to be an exceptional individual and other recent management appointments also seem promising so I think that we are in very good hands.

Parent share price being subjected to domestic market sentiment and is now at 160 ish BDT from the high of 225 ish last November.

That price is around £1.40 and means the GDR is now trading at an unusually high equivalence of over 70%. I wonder if it will last.
