Price spiked to 82 dollars Mike, seems pretty big to me, it's pulled back a little to 72, but Trump is talking about a 4week plan so there's time for it rise further if that's true.

Brent's not up much but WTI rost 8% or so. Trump is apparently bombing Iran with Israel and Iran are responding.

Glen I fear, it's going to fall further. 432 or lower looks very, very likely now however ...... obvious it is that it's going to go back up. I think it's not unlikely that we'll see 370ish or lower. But let's see what happens at 432ish first. The chances of my 'quick long swing trade' paying even b/e look very dim in my view. Having said that, no-one can see into the future and anything can happen. But there is a reason it's dropping, whether we know it or not. Someone is selling it down, whoever it is, does not believe we are going to see higher prices in the near future.

Unless that's part of the reason for the big rise in ENQ sp?

Seems odd today that HBR is rising more than ENQ. Removal of the EPL should favour ENQ more i'd have thought

Mike, could the tiny trades relate to HFT traders fishing to figure out where the liquidity is? They certainly do it on small trades sizes (around 100 shares for example) and they learn enough from some of these activities to front run orders. They somehow insertt themselves as if they were an invisible broker, so for example, if they learn/believe there is a decent sized order, they will take it and very quickly have it back on the market at a slightly different price. In that case, they've acted as a broker that you didn't know was their. You get a worse price, they skim a small amount off the trade. Not sure if it's relevant, but what I'm describing certainlty happens. This discussion comes up time and time again, there is a logic to it, but I'm not sure many people understand it.

Personally I think we're heading to 432 or lower (all stated previously). Ironically, although I won't build any substantial position until price gets down there, I couldn't just sit on my hands and a few days ago decided on a quick in and out trade. I'm stuck in that bugger and 18p down. Sometimes you just couldn't make it up. Gratefully it's a very small position. I'd happily dump at b/e if I got the chance.

It's great news, the deal and the upgrade, it seems that things really have finally turned for us. At 16.5ish now. Fingers crossed there is not too much selling at this level and we can on up as James Brown might say. It's getting exciting and that ENQ chart looks very bullish.

It's getting quite exciting now. I've heard it said that slow steady rises are the most optimistic of rises. I'm certainly feeling optimistic. Not long before we see 16.5ish. I think it's possible we'll see some selling from those sat on massive profits (not me) and maybe some who were trapped on the way down. I am really hoping that we move up towards those broker targets of 24p over time.

I'll tell you what KO, I hope you're right. Sadly history is not on your side. Goodness we need some catalysts beyond that. I'm guessing POO and EPL are the most important, but a 'transformational deal' could give us a 50% pop up. At the moment it's slow and steady with what looks to be a very good management team (also invested).

SP popped up 'on the RNS', 15.6! Not that useful to me, but it's 50% up from 10p! I'll take that

Just want to say that I'm pretty sure that I've been taken in by two channels on Youtube. I tried to corroborate what I wrote on this bb independent of these two channels (that seemed 100% credible) but have not been able to. So Carney selling oil to India and China and attracting Toyota to Canada might be tosh. Has anyone come across channels that set up solely to spread disinformation? Are they AI generated? Why would anyone do that, what's the purpose and is it legal? If it is legal, why?

Anyway, sorry for that, got trapped in a rabbit hole there where I was being fed information that pleased me and it fooled me for a couple of day. Apologies.

It's got a good feel to it BTF. With POO continuing to strengthen and Trump looking like he's now going to enter a death spiral (Ivanka likely to be indicted within 48h; she was often touted as the reasonable face of the Trump empire, but now is being legally separated from the rest of the families businesses), Sovergeignty over the Sea routes around Canada now being formally contested for the first time. I don't have the knowledge to know how this will affect markets/POO etc, but I don't see how it can be a stabilising force. Let's hope it's onwards and upwards for the good ship ENQ.

Wow, Canada are planning to withdraw 50% of their money from US. Selling down half of their US treasuries, but it doesn't stop there. Bond yields might start to rise. I thought the trigger for that might be Japan selling down it's US treasuries!

Looks like Carney has bettered Trump without blinking an eye. Deal with Toyota to move a huge car plant to ontario (mothballing Alabama), shifting oil sales to China and India (US currently imports 60% of it's oil from Canada. Carney wants to use their cheap hydro-electricity to build Canada into a hyperscaling playground, while putting a premium on the electricity sent to the US

Whoops, looks like a quiet, thoughtful central banker has just given Trump a bloody nose. You'd imagine that we'll see market instability sometime soon. Wonder if the fact that Trump is annoyed will get him trigger happy in Iran, he's not very stable afterall. Interesting times.

Agree Dartron, not much happening and filling the discussion with positive stuff seems like a good way of keeping a disussion going. You got tick up from me and James has been filtered long ago.
