Interesting, there was a peak last year in May followed by a rapid fall. We're not due an update until July 16th. But MKS updates on May 22nd. Are those short players expecting some bad news on the performance payments? MKS reported about the same time last year. Can't quickly find OCADO's last year announcement.

Well, last year something cleared out the shorts, this year the shorts are rising faster than in previous years? Must be a message in there somewhere.

Personally, I'm more optimistic about Boyo's chart. It looks like the price is bottoming and has a good chance of rising. No-one can see into the future mind.

In fact, 495 has not yet been achieved, sorry for that. Jumped the gun a bit. But I fear it will be achieved today.

From a TA point of view, this has now fullfilled my expectation of 495 or below. I'd personally just caution that the risk of falling to 470 or below appears to have increased. Not sure if it's related to todays RNS or the escalation of the Boing story in the press. I know EZJ doesn't use Boing, but there's a tendency for these things to bleed into other areas either rightly or wrongly.

Sangi, why would the inflation print push OCDO up, but not others? OCDO seems to have jumped up, but nothing else I watch was affected?

You don't know what the logic is Culley, that doesn't mean there isn't a logic. That's just you trying to comfort yourself that there's nothing you can do to work around the price movements. That's lazy and defeatest. I don't know what caused the price movement here recently, but there was a reason somewhere and I'm not daft enough to believe that it's meaningless.

It's off the rhs of the chart where it gets tricky, but getting that bit right is where the money is.

Well, that's what you get for snatching at stuff. I shall take more time and look for more evidence of a change in sentiment before adding to this mornings position

Actually Sangi, rightly or wrongly, I suspect we'll find out there was a reason for yesterdays pop. I'm looking to renter and have bought back the first of my SB's around 356. That is definitely not advice to others. I've moved to a 15 min chart (based on the belief that something real is behind yesterdays moves) whereas I normally use a 2h chart which I find more reliable.

These bb are like a preprogrammed machine. Almost every bb is the same. Does anyone have any good evidence that someone is actually putting together a bid for OCDO? It's like VP, he/she has a role to play for their own personal reasons (and I don't know what they are) but they are not for the benefit of the general community. Everytime a SP drops, the same thing happens

It paralyses many of the participants on the board, they actually believe there is a good likelihood of whatever scenario fits their personality. The truth most often is that 'none of the above' hold very much water and the evidence for these scenarios is absent or close to.

People actually ignore the SP, in order to buy one of the stories that, of course, is going to make them rich. I wonder whether psychologists have studied these bb's, their participants and the impact each type of participant has on each other. It really is some kind of incredible psychological set up. It's fascinating. But from my point of view, you'd all be better off looking for facts or at least views backed up with an information trail that makes sense.

I have no idea whether a t/o is likely, but I've not seen any info to suggest there is one in preparation.

I would love it so much if that turned out to be true. I dropped all of my leveraged positions and would be looking to re-enter again under the right cricumstances

It's starting to look as though the Yanks are buying the rumour. I think 379-387 now looks quite likely, but if there was substance to this and we got some short closures it could go well beyond that.

I'd planned to buy more this morning Sangi, but the spread put me off.

I just mailed my wife to say that my afternoon run was 'on hold', I actually did also say that sitting watching a SP was not what I'd hoped for. I think I must do it though!! Always nice to have something going in the right direction!

If there's anything of substance behind that rumour then those suggesting a short squeeze might be on the cards are likely to have nailed it. That would be a lovely thing indeed. I had intended to go out this afternoon for a couple of hours, but I'm tempted to watch this thing of great beauty now.
