Will we see shorts reducing on Tuesday? SP popping up. Although from the data on my charts at least, the volume is not particularly high even if you look boyo's short term periods (15min). What's your take boyo on the volume

We know that AB/his board are looking for M/A opportunities. That suggests the possibility of taking on further debt or raising equity in some way. The uncertainty surrounding that may, in fact worry the market. If that's cleared up and any M&A activity and it's funding principles are cleared up (without a fund raise hitting SH's) and without difficult terms on increased debt, then maybe the SP will be somewhat free-er (is that a word?).

Had this discussion around the time the EPL was implemented. I thought that based on the original wording 'Excess Profits' or similar that the EPL was obsolete once POO dropped back from 120 to below the historical average and now around the historical average. The general view seemed to be that it was a non-starter believing you could take legal action against the government. The wording now is not 'excess profits' it's Energy Profits levy. It's a kick in the teeth for small NS companies that survived 28 dollar pb POO by acculating debt. Stinks and not just from a personal level as a SH. It simply stinks.

Pape, as you say the Labour manifesto is not 'news', so in theory it shouldn't have caused the drop in the SP of ENQ. In reality, it might not even be related to the drop in SP, if it was, then why did TLW also drop? They are not stuck with the NS, as far as I know they have no NS assets, but they dropped all the same. HTG who are not a producer, although they supply producers also dropped 10 or 12%. Maybe something else is at play and the Labour manifesto is just a convenient thing to hang the price action on? Something doesn't sit right with these price movements and it's not strongly related to the EPL/investment rebates etc.

Yes, agreed, but it is a real problem for the locals, their islands and their cultures. Not only Brits for sure, but Brits and Germans are a dominant and unrully element over there. The fact that it's Brits and Germans, maybe particularly relevant to us as investors in EZJ. Just putting it out there for discussion really.

I'd imagine that the Iberian peninsula issues (demonstrations about appalling behaviour from Tourists) is also a factor, these are busy routes and the demonstrations may be perceived likely to have a heavy impact on tourism to the region. Just thinking out loud, but there is a serious problem over there. The root of the problem is tourist behaviour, but the solution for the moment might reduce the number of tourists.

Tankying is an emotive way to describe todays smallish pull back. No real idea abou the reason. Some boards are linking it to election manifesto's etc, although that's not clear to me. The FTSE is off a bit so it's not surprising many of it's components are off a bit. A close below 451 would very much suggest that we could fall to 423 or below, that could be 402 area (a previous low in Nov 2023). If that didn't offer support then the 372 area might come into play. There's currently nothing obvious to suggest we won't have a good summer season and report good figures. Fingers crossed that will hold us above 451.

What's the reason for todays fall. I would sort of get the labour manifesto hitting NS oil companies like ENQ/HBR but what's hitting TLW? 28.5 or lower is looking quite likely now.

Significant risk of 12.75 or lower, 12.25 or lower is not out of the question. As you say Jeffery, this is likely related to the elections. Labour looking unstoppable with Reform apparently reducing the projected tory shortfall even further!! They're supposed to be politicians for goodness sake, why could Rishi et all not see the risk posed by Reform. Having said that, stabbing each other in the back is a key strength of the average politician so maybe no surprises.

I think you have to want this to be great in order to believe it's great. To me, it looks like exactly what they've been saying up until now. It's pretty well what I expected, a positive spin on what they're aiming for, but largely the same that they've been doing for a while. For me, if there's a rise in SP, it's unlikely to be large. I would also still expect us to see 13.25 or lower, but that could be delayed if PI's can push the price up a bit in the short term.

If it all works out well, it shouild mark a turning point, but telling us what they're aiming for, is not telling us that they have achieved it.

Trenners, I'm optimistic and still hoping around 13p is the bottom. Just waiting for evidence of buyers before buying a few back.

Joe, that article is essentially a advert. I guess they'll be pushing it tomorrow, but there's not feedback for example for the customer for the moment. The way it's written is actually appears to allow it to use lots of big words but say very little. Did AI write it. I have to say I didn't like the article and it hasn't impressed me.
