Killing time until the placement shares hit the market, I asked myself the question, 'how many opportunist investors/traders managed to get hold of the recent placement shares?'. Given that the time-frame, from announcement to close was ridiculously short, the necessity to register with PrimaryBid, having funds available, the timing of the announcement (market closed) all suggest to me that very few 'random' people got these shares. I found out about the placement late in the evening from reading on this board, as the RNS did not show up on the LSE site. I suspect a lot of existing holders/investors, with funds available, felt obliged to buy, possibly to average down. If the ii's were given the heads up then they could have snaffled a few. Some will hit the market and turn a quick profit but I am not convinced the shareprice will tank, I think a lot of these shares are in the hands of serious investors. How serious and what their exit price is, who knows. Yes there will be a dip, but not as draconian as some may think. This coming from an investor who had convinced himself that there would't be a placing so confine this rambling to the bin. Staying put here and good luck all.
