Frustrating isn't it trufflehound! The world is just starting to wise up on how to manage it's infrastructure, be it water supply, waste, air handling units, air conditioners, storage vessels, I could go on. Everybody is still focused on the Covid19 'silver bullet' vaccine, antbody testing kit, antigen etc, but there will be a stark realisation that we need to do more than that. Step up to the plate SKIN and MWG. Gerard has his foot in the door and is beginning to kick it open.but also a sound networking process will 'sell' our products. It does take time, we are well researched, or reasonably well researched, but not everybody out there is. The captains of industry don't even know what they need yet. Hats off to GJB who keeps telling them. It will happen for us trufflehound. Stay safe.
I raised this on the XSG board several months ago as I had similar concerns. I was informed that the company carried insurance against IP theft. My concerns were centred about how this was policed/audited in the respective countries and was advised it was largely self audited/policed. I am sure MWG/SKIN carry similar insurances but may have similar concerns over monitoring. I think it is a common fear with a lot of companies.
The Fundraise is conditional on, amongst other things, the passing of the Placing Resolutions to be proposed at a general meeting expected to be held at the offices of of Squire Patton Boggs (UK) LLP, 6 Wellington Place, Leeds at 12 p.m. on 9 June 2020 (the "General Meeting"). A circular which will provide further details of the Fundraising and will include a notice convening the General Meeting (the "Circular"), is expected to be sent to shareholders and be available on the Company's website in the coming few days.
A fair question dunsford. I think organisations, Local Authorities, businesses and Governments are taking stock of the overall implications on Covid19. They need to identify exactly what they need for differing aspects of their respective infrastructure. Larger organisations tend to have cumbersome and laboured tendering/procurement processes and will be looking at an appropriate specification to put in the market place. This goes back to my earlier point, you can't write a spec' if you don't know exactly what you want. For me there will be a stark realisation that something needs to be in place and people will look at the market leaders/existing service providers for advice and guidance. It is MWG ans SKIN that have the expertise and can offer this advice and would hopefully advise MWG and SKIN services. The requirement for our services are there but people just haven't realised exactly what yet. When the penny drops MWG and SKIN will be massive, and I mean massive.
Nice to have you on board ORLM. I have only been here since November so still a newbie. Some great posters on here and I hope you can benefit from their experience. I am extremely enthusiastic about TRX and although I did not like how the share issue was orchestrated I remain committed here. Good luck with your investment.
I personally have no problem with somebody posting a negative view. It sharpens the mind and avoids complacency. I have read your posts nomlungu and I have further researched on the back of what you have said in the past - often to the benefit of my investment. There is a human trait that we want to associate with people who agree with our views and as such can turn against a contrary view. A contrary view is a good thing, but it is often how it is presented (or received) that seems to cause offence. Sometimes the posts seem unnecessarily aggressive/blunt and get an appropriately aggressive and blunt response. These boards have chancers (rampers/derampers etc) and part of the game is to try and wheedle these out. Nothing truer than doing your own research but if you can lean on one or two trusted posters who share their research then that makes life so much easier. There appears to be some very good people on here, well researched and generous with their time and knowledge, but in amongst them are a few rogues. By nature I try to keep a balance in my posting but I tend to highlight the positive more than the negative. I am upbeat about the shares I am invested in, why else would I be here? Just wish these places could be more supportive and trustworthy, it would save people a lot of angst.
Silverfox333's post was a sobering reminder that a lot of people lose money investing on AIM. Some are naive, some ill informed, some are gamblers, some are well informed well researched, and well, just unlucky. We all invest for different reasons, to boost the pension, a nest egg for the grand-kids, a holiday, a rainy day fund, maybe altruistic reasons. I invest as a hobby, not massive amounts of money and any returns go to my children (to help with their mortgages!!!). What upsets me most on these boards (not so much on TRX) is the crowing of individuals who have allegedly made a fortune and the berating or belittling of those that have lost money or whose portfolio is struggling. There is something vulgar about this behaviour. Some people look at the first opportunity to gloat, point the finger, 'I told you so' - you get the picture. I get we are all grown-ups and nobody twisted our arms to get on here, and maybe you do need to be thick skinned, but these boards should be about supporting each other, sharing information, raising concerns and possible outcomes. How many people like Silverfoxx333 are there out there, the silent majority that suck it up and have to move on. Good luck and good health to these people and hopefully the can move on to bigger and better things.
So sorry to hear your bad experience Silverfox333. Some very good friends of mine lost a lot of money on SXX as did a lot of people I know in the North East of England. These people were intelligent, diligent investors but still lost money so it can happen to any of us. Great words from Sandhopper and I to wish you good luck for the future.
