I am a sucker for these articles and the ones Gerard posts on here or on Twitter. In amongst the incredible science applications, and I include MWG and SKIN in that category, are some very Heath Robinson approaches. It is almost as if people are panicking in to doing something, or being seen to be doing something, when they don't really understand what that something is! I might be doing some people a disservice but I really do believe that the way MWG and SKIN are going about this knocks spots of what others appear to be trying to do. Yes we have to deliver, but what we deliver has to be fit for purpose, sustainable, proven, and profitable. The floor is your Gerard.

It was recognised in the leisure industry that there were 'dead spots' in swimming pools. These were traditionally in the deep end of the pool, in the corners, where the older, linear filtration systems did not adequately circulate the water (pre-level deck pools). Consequently pool test reading for Ph and free chlorine levels were manually taken from this point as this would be the point most likely to give the lowest free chlorine reading. Readings taken in other parts of the pool would vary quite considerably. My point is, these guys going down sewers with a test tube - is it just a case of lucky dip (or mucky dip in this case). I am guessing it is a similar scenario to the pool example, depending how close you are to the source of contamination etc, readings could vary quite considerably or give no reading at all. Any help appreciated.

Nice update and a bit of reassurance of what investors already knew (or thought they knew!!). Production and first sale will move this very quickly. Good time to get onboard if not already.

The research results from the work being undertaken at Aberdeen University will be due soon. I know Gerard said that there was a minor delay accessing the virus due to protocols, but I am hoping for an interesting RNS.

Am I right in thinking that our filtration technology can not be suitably retrofitted to a domestic washing machine. In which case we should be targeting new builds/designs. These may or may not incorporate our technology without legislation to force their hand. Conversely any company with foresight would see this as a selling point in a competitive market. Hopefully we are not waiting for Government to drive the changes and are pitching to machine manufacturers now.

I was just going to post the same recommendation. A great read for existing and potential investors giving an insight in to the fantastic collaborative effort and remarkable science. Oh yes, and written in a language a non-scientist can understand.

Congratulations to all at Xeros on the development of their filtration system. The challenge now is to commercialise it.

Inspired move by #SKIN and #MWG to target the Cruise Liner industry. Not only will it allow a huge industry to become fully operational, it will allow a full test of the robustness and integrity of our technology. A cruise ship is basically a floating city with all the associated infrastructure in a contained and controlled environment. Get it right, scale it up…bingo!!

I have contacted her to see if the XSG filtration system was part of the study. I have not had a response....yet!!
