Which has confused me.... A mighty drop from €100m

Question mate, your post seems well informed. You mentioned the gypsum pond, there is a "news" article on YLE that states that talv could be in for a €100m for pollution in the pond. Has this been taken in to account with the SP? Have the company commented on this previously

Moving Averages, so it looks at the prices on average for two periods, usually 30 & 60 days. When the two cross it can be positive or negative. When the 30 day rises above the 60 day it's usually positive and when the 60 day crosses the 30 day it's usually negative. But the two usually converge after a few weeks to stabilize the SP. I could be wrong with which way round the two go but the averages are usually either green and red or blue and red

All of the current trends point to a decline, due to being waaaay over our M.A's. However, if we close above yesterday's close it should hopefully trigger a new upward motion.

Not at all. If you're going to pass judgement, at least clarify my position. I was merely commenting on posters suggesting shares to newbies. TALV has potential to go either way. I only hold 17,800 shares. For me it's a fair amount of money. More than I'm comfortable losing, but not enough to cause me financial problems. I suggest you re-read my comment

I'd say, this is a bad choice for a newbie. A) nothing goes up in a straight line. B) it's not out of the wood yet. C) never take advice from others. Case in point, a friend of mine said "Buy £250 worth of Game shares." £250 went to administors
